Heard reliably that UDFA receiver Dwight Jones, from UNC, has quit the #Texans. May explain interest in Sims-Walker.

I'd like to keep it in proper perspective here:

Both those teams had MAJOR problems putting together anything that resembled a professional PASSING attack. QB issues, protection issues, and overall coaching/scheme issues too.

Getting cut from those two teams, last year, was the best thing that could happen to any player who wants another shot at being a WR in the NFL. otherwise, you're going to get hurt or suffer piss-poor stats all season long while being on a truly awful team.

Not saying Sims-Walker is the next Andre Johnson or anything, since we know how that worked out for Dwight Jones upon making that prediction, but I;m saying that I know there's two AFC South games this year Sims-Walker would love to play for the Texans in.

He has some injury issues. Getting released by the Pats might be a sign that things are not well. Or they just have a log jam at receiver position(s).

Either way, just throwing it out there for discush.

The Texans have the "other things Wr" in Walter. they actually need a dude who the best thing he does is get open and catch the ball. Stovall is 3rd rounder like both Jacoby and sims-Walker who has done less as wide reciever than either one of them. For all of sims-walker's flaws we have seen actully that guy play decent NFL Wr. Stovall is special team who position is listed at WR.

The problem with Sims Walker - as Doc CND pointed out - is he hasn't been able to stay on the field.

As I said before, our slot guy will likely turn out to be one of the new & speedy youngsters. According to TC, Posey is lookeing good there.

Man, I can hardly wait until training camp. I want to see these guys for myself.

The Pats must have really not liked something, probably unrecovered injury, to release him after just a few days of OTA!

Whatever the deal with Dwight Jones whatever, I think the plan was always to look to see what vet WR might be available after June 1 at a reasonable price.

Think Texans look at a lot of bargain FA guys at a lot of positions. Roster is 90 so they have some play around room.
