According to Adam Schefter
Must mean young WR's are not impressing the coaches.
Even if they were...
Dre's out, Posey, Martin, Jean, Walter...
Need more, dude...and a vet won't hurt one bit.
We need a vet. Outside of Andre and Walter, not one single other guy has taken an NFL snap.
kubiak said that they would be looking at veterans a few weeks back.
Not a bad receiver. If he was on a good team that had a QB to catch passes from, he would've had a decent season.
Doubt it. 3 days can't really tell you much. Kubes had previously said he wanted to look at vets I believe.
Sims-Walker was plagued with injuries last season playing only 6 games because of a groin, shoulder and 2 knee injuries. Like AJ, we don't know what we will be getting.
Could be a good pickup, I was under the impresion that we were waiting for other teams to cut some players (NE anyone?).
Seems like MSW is always injured lately, hopefully not another Mason taking the roster spot of somebody like Dwight Jones who can develop to be a good WR for us.
Good point TCR, New England is going to cut some talented WRs.
But the younguns have got to be better than this....
The list of WRs from ESPN Insider
Hell, Bryant Johnson is listed higher than Sims-Walker...
To add to my above injury history, His last knee injury last year required surgery. The knee injuries bother me since he tore the ACL in his left knee during college. The Jaguars put him on IR during his rookie season with a knee injury. He sprained his knee in 2008 and also suffered from staph infection in the left knee, causing him to miss three games. 2009 was a healthy year for him. Then in 2010, he didn't have knee problems, but did suffer a high ankle sprain late in the season.........though he did undergo a knee surgery in the 2011 offseason.
I guess Braylon Edwards wants too much money...or wants to play only for the Jets.
I looked up his stats in a sporting news fantasy mag I have. Hes ranked 55 overall among wideouts. Their assessment reads, "most likely a bench option no matter where he plays."
Would that be without or with crutches?
Like? 31 year old Donte Stallworth? 33 year old Deion Branch? Or how about 34 year old Chad Johnson (that's right, I call him Johnson). If these guys have anything left, they'll be catching passes from Brady.
Didnt 30 something jabar gaffney sign with the pats to?
Gaffney will likely stick. He still has some game left.
This is low risk move not bad.
This is just a workout, no deal signed. I doubt the Texans even make him a camp body.
Separate names with a comma.
