Ertz recently met with sports hernia specialist Dr. Williams Meyers recently. According to a report from Jeff McLane, however, Ertz did not suffer a sports hernia. Instead, he suffered a partial groin tear.

For perspective, Eagles center Jason Kelce missed four games last season with a sports hernia injury. His injury was more serious than Ertz's is believed to be, however.
