"Obviously we're disappointed with the way the game turned out," head coach Dom Capers said. "We just did not execute at crunch time.

This is a joke. FIRE CAPERS TOMMORROW. He Doesnt know what is doing at all or what he is saying. The Front Page of the Chronicle Sports Page should say Choke City. I have given up on this season

I am so sick of hearing the same crap out of capers mouth after each loss.. Well we really played well.......blah blah blah... but we need to just play better and...blah blah blah. Capers needs to step up and hold those players responsible (coleman) for not playing well and BENCH them. With Jimmy Johnson if you fumbled too much you got cut, much less benched. :bomb:

It's official - Dom Capers is a robot.

He's a broken record-----" We didn't execute! We failed to execute! We didn't execute when we needed to! We didn't execute at crunch time! His didn't execute crap is getting mighty old and stale. Dammit build a fire under their butts so they will execute. Don't stand on the sidelines with your friggin mouth gaped open. Look what John Gruden does to his team. He gets on their butts when needed and pumps his players up!

Who would of guessed that Capers would use the word execute in describing the Texans loss today.

With less than two minutes to go in the game today, I had a feeling you guys would blow it. You didn't disappoint me. Maybe ya'll should change your names to the Oilers; you play just like them.

Sorry, but just disappointed.

Execute Will Robinson, EXECUTE.

So, now it's just not executing the fundamentals, it's not executing at crunch time? Got it.

I thought the same thing but dont' know how to put a picture up with "robbie the robot" and photoshop capers face inside of it :tv:

Im so sick of Dom Capers style of coaching, his interviews, and his sideline presence....he looks like he is 1/2 asleep, mouth open...No wonder the team plays the way they do. I was fortunate enough to watch a show on the NFL Network on Marvin Lewis, man thats a coach. He lets his players know when they are wrong, picks them up when they are down, takes blame for coaching errors. He is a REAL coach....man I wish we had a guy like him...

Good grief! What do you expect him to say? Besides that, who CARES what he says?

So now you're criticizing him for what he says and how he looks? Unbelieveable! Bellicik looks completely bumfuzzled on the sidelines -- is that a notch against him? He's also a very bad interview -- is that also another mark against him? It is completely unreasonable to criticize a coach because you don't like his interviews or the way he walks the sidelines.

Gruden isn't exactly doing all that well this year either. Try again.

Im criticizing him for showing no emotion toward any play in the game, high or low, u never seem to see him talking to anyone.. just stares with that dumb look...its just frustrating when you have a young team that seems to have no guidance...

And besides, Belichick has three rings, he can look as befuddled, and be an awful interview as much as he wants.

He has a Super Bowl ring and a much better record then the Texans. At least he doesn't stand there on the sidelines looking like a dumb @$$!!!!!!!!

Y'all know the way that when you say a word over and over and over it stops making sense? I don't even know what execute means at this point. It is like a few muffled, unknown syllables. Execute, execute, execute, execute, execute, execute, execute. What does it mean??? That dude is KILLING me!!! He's executing me!! Someone neeeeeds to be executed. Good grief.:brickwall

All that said, I'm not going to give up on my team. GO TEXANS!! :texflag:

In the words of Inigo Montoya of The Princess Bride

".........you keep using that word......... I do not think it means what you think it means."

And did I hear Carr correctly after the game say "we're getting better"? Um, wasn't this the 11th game of the season? Granted, the first half was the best effort so far this year - but he seemed a little too excited that they looked better Sunday. Sorry - that giddiness doesn't work when your record is 1-10.

Let me post a specific about Capers.

Rewind to the Chiefs game. AJ has just got the 15yd penalty for shoving the ball in the Chief player's face. Theismann and company are talking about how a head coach is supposed to get in a player's face and remind him that he IS going to get hit, he IS going to receive some cheap shots, and he IS expected to keep his cool when he gets them. They wrap up their point by saying there is no excuse for losing your cool and drawing the unsportsmanlike penalty.

Well, in a telling Capers moment, while they are saying all this, AJ walks over to sideline, and explains what happened to Capers. At the same time ESPN is saying there is no excuse, Capers finishes hearing what AJ says and you then see him nod in agreement with what AJ just told him. Capers pats him on the arm or something as AJ walks away, and then resumes his sideline stare.

Classic Capers!

Instead of getting in AJ's face and reminding him there is no excuse, Capers just rolls over. The players are running this team, there is no discipline here, and we need a coaching change NOW before this gets worse.

This is the same kinda behavior T.O. didn't tolerate. IN SF, and in Philly(McNabb and Reid). I think he is/was right, and I'd have done the same thing. It's a shame, when no one else will see the plight of the only player on the team that wants to win.

I WILL be here next year, regardless! I have a question. Just how can ANYONE (Capers) be motivated and or motivate game by game, when so many people are screaming for his head on a platter? I personally would like to see and hear more positive things about our team and coaches and staff to inspire their abilities and encourage them to play and coach to what I want to believe are their potentials. Just my opinion.:texflag:

The one positive thing I got from the Rams game was that Carr is almost as good as a 7th rounder.

OK, here is one...
What would our season look like if the Texans had played every half, up until now, just like they played the first half, yesterday?

I would take that "motivation" as feedback, though not positive, and realize that obviously my system is not working the way I had planned. If I also knew most likely my job was on the line, yeah I may buy out early - but I'd probably go donw guns blazing and try some craxy things for that slight glimmer of hope that my job could be saved.

Of course, it's hard to know what one would really do in that situation, till they're in it. I think Capers has been in this situation before though, so he is probably just going through the inevitable motions.

More motivation should come from the person before looking to others to motivate that same person. There was quite a bit of "extra motivation" coming from the fans the first half.

Somehow I am having nightmarish thoughts. Bob McNair must be from Hazzard County. If he keeps the Stooges(Charlie.Dom,and Carr) he got to a good ole boy never meaning no harm. Charlie wouldn`t Draft a stud like Reggie Bush but trade for more picks to get more Jason Babins and Phillip Buchanans and Tony Hollings. somebody pinch me!!!

It comes with the territory. He's paid millions and this isn't high school. These guys know what they are getting into when they sign on the dotted line and I doubt that any coaching staff would receive a kind, considerate, and understanding response from the fan base when the team is 4-16 in their last 20 games. They have failed.

Well said.
Those who have defended Dom for being a nice guy...well he does look like one, but we didn't hire him to be nice. See where nice put us. :ok:

It is time to put true meaning in Capers' favorite word. Time to execute the end of the 5 year plan and Capers' exit. :challenge
