Would things be a lot different if...

HoustonTexans

Practice Squad
If...

we had spent our last years first round pick on that Offensive Lineman Alex Barron. He looked pretty good from what i saww of him on the Rams this year. And it might have helped us out cause that woulda been one less Oline whole we needed to fill this year.

I have said this from day one.......if you build a house, do you build it on a slab or put the framing directly in the ground...YOU BUILD A FOUNDATION!!! this is where this organization failed!!!

Now the Texans, and I have to pay (literally.....Club PSL owner).

I got flammed last year when I said the OL sucked.....and the year before and the year before...

but with this next year's OL draft being deeper than it has been since the Texan's inception, I am changing my tune...

draft Bush, hit your next pick with an OL....you can also pick up another OL in 3 or 4

Bush will do more for the next OL (whatever it may be) than any 1st rounder.....

I really dont think there is any point in going back and saying what we coulda or shoulda done. Especially not 1 year later. Travis Johnson may turn into a beast.. and Barron may become a bust.. you never know. Ask me again in 10 years.

How different would this year have been if we wouldn't have signed Victor Riley!

Either Wand would have continued to improve at LT or Pitts would have been moved their at the beginning of the season. Or, perhaps we would have actually signed a quality lineman in the offseason instead of thinking we'd done something by grabbing that scrub!

It took this coaching staff 10 games to figure out that he shouldn't be starting at tackle!!!

To all of the people who said it was all Wand's fault we gave up so many sacks and were were "only" 7-9 last year:

It wasn't.

Coaching - schemes - other lineman - QB - running backs. Everybody contributed to that offense's sack problem. It's ironic how much better THAT offense was compared to this year's.

Everything happens for a reason. Right now I am glad that we picked Travis Johnson, because if we picked anyone else we might not be in the position to draft Reggie Bush.
