I think I went through a case last year....and downed 5 after my team drafted Cedric Benson:brickwall
I usually have my Sporting News and a case of beer with the CPU on......I hunker down for the first 2 hours (first 2 picks it seems). After that I stretch out a bit and get ready for the second leg of the drunk fest

As of this point no, but I will likely be formulating one as pro days are finished up and the rest of free agency and any trades are worked out. I plan to be at Reliant during the draft for at least the 1st round and probably up until pick #33, so I won't really be able to follow the draft on a spreadsheet there, but prior to the draft I will probably compile one with any info I can scrounge up on players.

Buy multiple draft guides.
Make a photocopy of the overall player rankings and position rankings of the favorite draft guide that year.
Scratch through each name as they are picked.
When the Texans go on the clock, choose who the Texans should pick and write it down for posterity.
Groan when the Texans pick someone else.
Go back and look at picks made in previous years and compare their performance to the performance of the Texans' actual picks.

This will be the 5th April weekend wasted in this fashion. But thanks to the miracle of Tivo, we can leave the house for 15 minutes to grab fast food.

Thunderkyss around draft time you can go on the Texans homepage and get an free ticket to the draft party at Reliant Stadium, pretty much a bunch of TVs on and people drinking seeing what the Texans will do in the Draft this year. A good time especially in the Verizon Wireless VIP. You can get autographs from players, take your picture with the cheerleaders, and play a slew of games mainly for the children and your boy there looks to big for that stuff. An overall good time till the Texans pick usually.

I may make the trek to Houston this year for the draft. I figure last time we had the #1 we passed on Peppers and Portis. I need to bring some good karma to Houston so that we can take Mario and Mangold.
