Thank you very much for these rankings. Will you edit these as we get closer to the draft?

Hopefully a mod can sticky this one also so edits can be made here and you don't have to compile a new list each edit. Also my memory sux so having it easy at hand for reference material is beneficial

Awesome stuff. What's your take on Prosise? We differ on him a little bit it seems?

I like his skill set but he is raw as a RB. He played WR his entire career until this year. He can't block and his vision is so-so. He plays behind an outstanding O-Line that made him look better than he is.

That's not to say I don't think he's a good prospect, but I do think he is a bit of a project who isn't going to offer the instant impact that most would expect from a Day 1-2 RB.

I agree that he's not an instant starter. But I like him as a guy that can be your third down/passing back for a year while he develops in other areas. I think he has significant room to improve before he hits his ceiling. And in year two he would be more well-rounded and ready to step in for a full workload.

really like Rankins too. where do you project him & if available #22 does he fit 3-4 end (replacing Crick)?

My knock on Prosise is little hands 8 1/4" if it weren't for that I would like him a lot more.

I think he will go top 20. I don't like him in a 3-4 though. I would use him like Aaron Donald. Stick him at 3' tech and isolate him 1-on-1 against G's and C's.

@WolverineFan

What about Vaitai? I seem to like him a ton more. I might even like him as early as the 3rd and you seem to have him more in the 6th/7th?

Average athlete who has the length to play RT but may have to move inside to compensate. Don't think he plays with consistent technique. Should be more dominant at the POA than he is. Plays too high and struggles with speed. Vaitai and Jerald Hawkins are two guys who are RT prospects with inconsistent technique who might have to move to OG to compensate for issues blocking speed. Issue with that is both guys play with poor pad level which makes a move inside tough.

Hawkins is a guy I might need to look at harder. I like his ceiling but the more I saw of him the more his flaws stood out. Might be a little too blinded by the potential.

I was never impressed with him at LSU. Alexander and Pocic were far better IMO. Hawkins automatically got this 2nd/3rd round grade by most as soon as he declared but his hype has started to slide and slide as the process has gone on. I wouldn't be surprised if some people even forgot that he declared because he's been pretty much invisible during the process.

QB's Our rankings are pretty much the same. I wonder what Arians could do with a guy like Driskell.

RB'- Like them I've got Howard rated as my #3 RB and Marshall rated #5. I dont see any special traits in Booker although he is a solid back.

WR- Doctson is my #1 rated WR. He kinda reminds me of Jerry Rice with the smooth way he uns his routes and wins contested balls. (I'm not predicting he will be Rice) Glad to see you have Peake/North rated up there. Good chance they will be better in the pro's than in college.

Slot- Fuller is #1 for me Boyd #3 and Cooper # 4. Love Malcolm Mitchell he's got potential to be the best slot in this draft.

TE- Same, I really think Cajuste has a chance tobe the best TE in this class. Better than Jordan Reed/Niles Paul.

OT- That low on Decker? I think he's a RT only but a very good one. I'm very high on Fahn Cooper and down the road I believe he has a chance to be better than Coleman. In other words a top 5 OT.

OG- Love Alexander #1 and Whitehair. Good to see we think the same about Westerman (Tough guy) My sleeper Thuney.

C- Glasgow is my #1, Martin #2, Kelly #3. All 3 are day 1 starters and upgrades over Ben Jones.

DT- Billings/Butler are 1-2 for me. Very underrated are Hargrave/Latham/Ridgeway.

DE- Cant believe Nkemdiche is so low, I guess you have character concerns. Love Chris (Genitals) Jones and Bullard.

Edge- Pretty much the same. I see Nassib as a DE more than an edge.

OLB- Smith is a 5-6th rd pick for me. Love Lee and somebody will get a steal with Vigil.

ILB- Same

SS/LB hybrid- Cravens should be a 1st rd pick but probably wont be. Better than Shaq Thompson. On par or better than Buchanon. I'm really high on Cravens, would be a perfect fit in the Texans defense.

CB- I've got Jackson rated ahead of Hargreaves, I agree with Alexander rated #1 although the no ints thing bothers me and hamstring issues.

Nickel- dont know much about these guys although I do like Poole

FS- Agreed although with these ranking I hope Bush falls to the 5th. He would upgrade the S spot I think he can play SS. He will immediately upgrade ST's.

SS- I've got Dillon ranked only behind Ramsey/Mills in the Safety class. Dude is very underrated and got alot of talent. Better than Neal. IMHO Neal reminds me of Elam.

K/P have you checked any of them out?

Thanks for your time you put in to rank these guys. It gives us something to discuss during the offseason.

DE- Cant believe Nkemdiche is so low, I guess you have character concerns. Love Chris (Genitals) Jones and Bullard.

SS/LB hybrid- Cravens should be a 1st rd pick but probably wont be. Better than Shaq Thompson. On par or better than Buchanon. I'm really high on Cravens, would be a perfect fit in the Texans defense.

K/P have you checked any of them out?

Appreciate the commentary. Wanted to answer a few of these that stuck out to me.

Nkemdiche - It's not just character concerns (although the concern is substantial). The guy had 4 sacks in 24 starts against power 5 competition. For some reason nobody talks about this.

Cravens - I think he's on par with Thompson (who I loved). He's not as good as Bucannon though. Bucannon was criminally underrated when he came out.

K/P - I don't rank Kickers or Punters. It's not a position that I'm comfortable evaluating because it's just so much different than evaluating position players.

A draftnik who doesn't pretend to have all the answers and outright says he doesn't know enough about the position to evaluate it fairly? Refreshing. Good stuff as always Wolverine.

Even the most dedicated Draftniks who really put in the time, do the research and watch 7-8 games per player, they can only make informed decisions on 200 - 300 players.

No doubt. I've formed opinions on guys like pax lynch based on highlights, scouting reports, and limited game film ive watched. I understand for every good game i watched there maybe 3 bad ones. I also realize im speaking out of turn to comment in depth on any prospect from south Delaware poly tech. That's not always the case for draftniks who like proving "i know more then you."

Agree some assume it an assault on their manhood and Draftnikness to not know everything about every player who has played a college football game. It's against their constitution to admit they no little if nothing at all about a player. Often when they offer up their expertise opinion of the guy from Delaware poly tech, a little research will sometimes find a very similar critique made earlier by someone else. When it comes to admitting they made a mistake or didn't get it right...well...that animal is almost extinct.

In fairness, 30+ years ago I was a lot like the draftnik described above.

This is why I find this section of the MB so refreshing. We can agree or disagree but I respect all of you guys opinion. The hardwork that is based on spending time checking out guys by WF/Texian/Bah/BB/MW/DG etc... is appreciate.

For instance Texian came out hot on Wentz and I started checking him out. I cant believe WF has Glasgow lower than I do. I defer to him on that one, because he has seen much more of Glasgow than I have.

I typically rate Michigan players lower than most but that's because I've watched every single snap of their careers so I've seen all the bad tape (for example, Joe Bolden, I was baffled when he got an all star invite; he's been the weak link on UM's defense for 2 years).

Glasgow is going to be good though. It's just a very talented Center group this year. I have him as the 4th rated Center yet still a 3rd rounder.
