Wolf6151 midseason 2012 mock draft.

Wolf6151

All Pro
Everyone else is doing a midseason mock, why not.

1. Alameda Ta'amu-NT, no explanation necessary just the highest rated NT in the draft and fills a big need. Move Cody to backup NT and move Earl Mitchell to DE depth cause he's not a NT. Second Choices: Stephon Gilmore-CB or Josh Chapman-NT.
2. Dwight Jones-WR or Juron Criner-WR, both are tall with good speed and athleticism. Jacoby Jones probably wouldn't leave but he'd be dropped to 4th on the depth chart thus improving the depth of our overall WR corp.
3. Brandon Washington-OG/OT, natural OG but has been playing RT and LT this season. He's got size and mobility with long arms but might require some luck in the 3rd round. Starter at RG, making Brisiel and Caldwell quality backups improving our O-line depth. Second Choice: Lucas Nix-OG/OT.
4. Winston Guy-FS, BB convinced me and I think this guy could be our backup FS or SS as well as our KR/PR. Possibly makes Domonique Barber and Shiloh Keo expendable. Second Choice: Kevin Reddick-ILB.
5. Travian Robertson-DE or Tony Jerod-Eddie-DE, both have good size for the position and seem to be natural 3-4 DE's and we need the depth. Either makes Bulman expendable and both have good potential.
6. Chirs Galippo-ILB, great size for the position and decent production this year but might require some luck in the 6th round. Depth behind Demeco and Cushing with better size than Sharpton. Second Choice: Rashard Hall-FS.

I would be jumping for joy if the draft fell this way.

Imagine if MW walks and they are able to draft Ta'amu and Gilmore in the 1st. Along with adding a vet WR2 like Meachem with the saved MW $$$$.

You have your NT, CB upgrades and give Schaub weapons WR's AJ,Meachem,Jones. To go with OD, Foster and improved OL depth. could get on board with this in a hurry.

I hate to pop my own bubble but I've been reading alot that Brandon Washington-OG/OT probably goes in the early 2nd round. His ability this year to play 3 different O-line positions well will most likely move him up. Looks like I'm going to have to go with Lucas Nix-OG in the 3rd round.

SB, as much as I like Mario he just gets injured to much, misses to many games, and I don't think he's worth the monster contract that he'll want next year. I'd love for the Texans to franchise and trade him. We could get alot and improve several areas of the team with those picks and then have some money to spend in FA. This is what Belichik does in N.E. and how he winds up with so many early draft picks each year.
