Why did we get rid of Sharper, Glenn and others in the offseason?

Why have we constantly refused to pick up or draft adequate linemen?

1. Draft is a crapshoot.
2. The $64,000 question right now.
3. They didn't want to restructre their current deals and we couldn't find anyone to take them via trade.
4. Because he was terrible at blocking.
5. No one knew Tony would retire and Joppru would fight injuries he never had.
6. Don't know, and its sad really.

-Didn't fit the scheme, questions about him shedding blocks
-Needed depth on the line, Buch seemed like a good idea at the time
-Money, Age, Playing time
-Too undersized needed a pass catching blocker Shockey-type
-POTENTIAL. That seems to be the key word with this team
-Previous drafts have been filled with less than stellar O-line talent, or at least that's what has been said.
 
1. DJ was a mistake
2. Depth was needed at both posistions gave up way to much for underachiever, but that is Cass's MO.
3. Sharper questioned coaches and management, Glenn was tired of losing and wanted to "be around a more complete organization"

6. Well we love seeing our QBs get killed, seriously we used two second rounders and a 3rd on the Oline. Pitts is a stud in the making and the rest. See casserly comment above.

Casserly may not be on his way out, but his personnel and draft duties might be gone. Which will either make him resign or be let go after the 2006 season.
