Why is Ragone not playing?

I'll spare everyone my analysis of Carr's performance. Not even Big Dave's apologists can defend tonight's performance. A 5.7 QB rating speaks for itself.

The big question is... Why is Dave Ragone not getting more reps. We know what Tony Banks can do... virtually nothing or worse. Has everyone forgotten that we spent a 3rd round pick on this guy. Has the organization just given up on him?
 
My guess is since most of the starters aren't playing much on Thursday, and I don't see Banks getting more than 2 series. Ragone will get probably the 2nd and 3rd quarters and BJ the 4th (if he isn't cut on Tuesday).
 
BJ is hurt. Banks was terrible tonight. It would have been nice to see Ragone. Of course, Carr was no great shakes himself. In general I would give the QB play about a 1.2 on a scale of 1-10.
 
Well, as far as Carr and the team go I will say this, it's still only preseason. Wins or losses don't matter but a 5.7 rating is what it is. I'm going to be optimistic as far as the team is concerned. I just can't wait for the regular season to begin.
 
Is bothering him, cant roll to his left. MRI showed up negative but there has been some fluid build up. That coupled with the fact that usually only the 1st and 2nd string qb's play in the 3rd preseason game.
 
Banks is just brutal. No wonder he stayed in Houston....nobody else was going to pay him what he fleeced from the Texans. If Ragone can't beat out this stiff then I say start looking for another backup. Hey Casserly...the Cowboys might cut Henson...and we know you always say we can't have enough QBs. :embarrass

Maybe he if he gets a few snaps next week he can take Carr's spot for the regular season. The big tuna ( the guy with all the ice on his fingers ) spent a 3rd on Henson...didnt see him in. Fire the Tuna!
 
Pfft, give it a little more time - Henson just may be dropped unless Jerrah wants to try one more year of 3rd string.

The knee is a logical explaination.

If Ragone is not pushing Banks for the backup job the organization has almost certainly given up on him. Banks does not belong in the NFL... period.

Last year 12 teams had QB's make it through the entire season without injury. The odds are not on our side.
