Who's still unhappy the Texans didn't win a couple more games ?

Hall of Fame
Texans fans, we are now holding the biggest Ace of all in a very strong Draft.
Whatever your choice - Bush, Young, another player or trading our most
valuable "#1 overall" we've got a shot to make some real upgrades in our personnel. Can any of you honestly say you are still really unhappy we didn't win another game or two and finish without #1 ?

I was secretly wishing they would loose the last few games thats for shure.....what a draft this will be...cant wait till april!!!!!

Unhappy? 'eh, it's a state-of-mind. Disenchanted...disgusted...indifferent...these are all things that come to mind.

I'm more happy that this season is over, though. And with this fantastic draft and no. 1 pick, we have a whole new set of headaches.

Honestly, after 2-14, I feel numb. Even when we won the second game, I just felt a lack of emotion. It's weird, because I deeply care about the Texans. But at the same time, I was just drained. A pointless win did nothing for me, and the losses were just bouncing off my psyche.

Hope we never experience a season like 2005 in a long, long time.

I would rather have finished 7-9 or 8-8. The more wins the better in my opinion. I don't care if the team had no chance after the first 5 weeks, I was never rooting for them to lose.

You're going to stir up the hornet's nest of "TRUE FANS" out there.

Thanks a lot.

The worst part of the season was not the losses...it was knowing that we were hopelessly straggling through the desert for the rest of the season because Bob McNair wanted to treat Capers with dignity and NOT fire him mid-way through the season. Looking back, it was the right thing for Bob to do...especially when you're trying to land Kubiak.

That was the worst part of it: Losing and yet still knowing that you WILL the rest of those games no matter what effort the players put forth. Ouch.

yeah....those last losses still hurt...losing to san fran was a draining blow to my psyche.....call me an *****, but i would rather have 3-13

I still and will always hope that we won more games. Hell until we go 19-0 I will never be happy. That is the life of a fan though. We want as many wins as possible.

We were so close though.... we should have beat St Louis, We should have beat Baltimore... And I was rooting for us to beat SF.

Bush never fit what I thought this team needed, or should do.

Matt, is maybe only a little more polished than Carr, if at all. He hasn't been as beat up, but if that's the Best QB in the Draft, we may as well keep Carr.

And right now, I'm starting to think this #1 thing isn't worth the headache. Or #1 pick would have been alot easier, if we had won just 2 or 3 more games. Then we wouldn't have to worry about Young, or Bush, and go about building onto the success of last year. But at 2-14, you ain't got much to build on.

I am still a little upset that we are the worst team in the NFL and will be the butt of all jokes until mid-September, but the position we're in now is definitely an enviable one, so let's all hope that they do what's best for the team.

This is what I don't get. The man holding the Yoke, isn't going to be around much longer. So if we've got a 10 point lead at the half, and he wants you to run time off the clock, why don't you call a more approriate play in the huddle?? So what if he gets mad. I understand David has a lot of respect for Capers, But we don't play on Sunday to show respect to one man on the sideline.

It sounds easy, because from my living room couch, it looks so easy. And if you call the play, and it goes for 6 the other way, then that's your butt.. but if you're going to be the team leader, you've got to be willing to take that shot.

I think it would have been best for the future of this team if they had won another game or two - whatever it took to fall to about 4th or 5th. Then, the no-brainer pick would be a left tackle, which is what this team needs, has needed, and will continue to need. Some folks on here say that we can get a left tackle in the second round. Well, I hope they're right, but recent history (last 15 years anyway) is not on their side.

It's a job and he's a professional. Go undercut your boss at work and let us know how that works out. It doesn't matter whether the play works or not. If you get that "uncoachable" tag, you're on the bench next to Seth Wand.

In what world would Matt Leinart be as polished as David Carr???

David Carr is a franchise-type quarterback, and the reports on Leinart say that he is not. Of course the reports can always be wrong, but they know a whole lot more than we do.

I still want those wins. Like Coach C., I will want those wins until we go 19-0.

However, like Mork and others have echoed, we are now in an enviable position. Had we won two more games? Well, I would have been happy to be a part of that, but we would now be drafting #5 and talking about D'Brick, instead of being swept away in this flood of Bush/Young/trade threads.

Makes for an exciting off-season. I just hope Cass does the right thing: is anyone else a little nervous about him muffing this one?

No one should be unhappy. If you don't want the pressure, trade it and you will be in the same place as if you won the games,,,just more picks. It is a lottery ticket.. At least it wasn't last years draft with a bunch of mediocre QBs and a bunch of backs that no one really was sure of. This is a stacked draft. I want a skilled guy on O without a doubt but IMHO I think the only sure bet in the 1st round is a guy like Hawk. You just can't teach having a motor like that and being able to get to the ball.

last year was miserable and I really don't care for all this hysteria myself. I pull for the team I follow to be competitive and to win each week...the season is way too short to be this awful. I'm a fan of the NFL...not the draft. You do not need the first pick in any draft to get good players...you just good management. I wish we had it.
