Who's now NOT going to the draft party tomorrow...?

I'm still going because it is going to be hilarious as hell out there tommorow. The front office should have kept this secret. Now it gets to boil and fester overnight to the point where it is going to explode tommorow. I can't wait to see how they are going to try to handle this when they have to go before the crowd if they do it at all.

I wonder if Mayor White has called up McNair asking if he needs crowd control at the draft party...I mean riot...

VY and Bush lovers will unite and tear apart Houston!

Ghost, bring your video recorder - I am sure you will get some great images (you can post them) and you may need it for liability purposes! :)

Every year the Jets fans boo their first round pick. It's a tradition. And no matter who the Texans would have picked, a large contingent of fans would be upset. So do you really think A.) the team didn't know this or B.) the team really cares what fans engulfed by the media hype think?

Yes, I can guarantee they care about what the fans think. Otherwise, we wouldn't have received those pitiful letters from McNair earlier in the year. One more really bad season and they are going to be in big trouble and they know it...

Will do. I wasn't planning on go earlier because I wasn't really impressed with last years but after todays news there is no way I would miss it now. LOL!!

I'M NOT GOING TOMORROW!!!

But I wasn't planning on it anyway. My kid's b-day party and all. :howdy:

Yeah but now everyone is upset and united. The front office only have you Williams scragglers who are very few and far between as their backers. I mean all you had to do is listen to any of the three local radio stations tonight and you would have become aware that there is no support for this pick at all. And youo can grasp on to the hope that it is all hype but it isn't. Tommorow isn't going to be the usual boo the draft pick kind of day because you have a city who is basically united in the fact that they are upset and outraged with this pick.

I am glad my friend from Dallas did not make the trip afterall. I'm NOT going now. I'm from Dallas and a HUGE Dallas fan but have been trying ot get into the Texans for years. I was at the first game ever against the Cowboys even. I'm done with the Texans. This has got ot be the stupidist thing I have ever heard of. If it were Dallas I would drive all the way there to protest. Thanks God it's not.

Ghost,

I am starting to think a trip to the old stadium might be worth it. Heck, it will probably be the most excitement at a Texans event in some time...

No, not everyone is "upset and united." I don't know where you get that. As for the radio stations, who cares? Those folks are the ones who disseminate misinformation all the time. The only folks who call those stations are those who disagree anyway. The only reason there may be a hue and cry is because the media tried to foist Bush on everybody, including the fans and the Texans. Many fans bit, but the Texans didn't. And good for them!

We don't know that yet, man. I'll be at the draft party. Kickin' it. Will be back on here w/ some of the events that happened. Etc.

Hmm well lets see the Reggie, Vince ,and Trade down crowds all seem to be united against this now. That pretty much made up Houston as a whole.

Well show me a large group of fans that are happy about this then and then I will change my opinion.

My god your a conspiracy thoerist nut aren't you. They weren't disseminating bad information tonight they were all looking for positive feedback to broadcast. In fact SR610 admitted they were cherry picking good emails tonight because they were so overwhelmed with negaitve ones.

The only reason there will be a huge cry tommorow is because everyone aside from you few Williams fans everyone hates this pick.

Also Bobo I have asked you this several times tonight and you have yet to reply so I will ask again:

If Bush was all media hype then you have to admit Williams is as well :

""Certainly he isn't a dominating defender yet, not when he had sacks in just 16 of his 36 appearances for the Wolfpack.

Ten of his 14½ sacks in 2005 came in just three games and against lesser opponents. Half of his six sacks in 2004 came in one outing, although, granted, the opponent was Florida State.""

How does those stats make Williams a freak and an absolute to dramatically improve our defense this year and where the hell was he for those other games if he is so damn good?

Fact is fact he overinflated his sack stats on lesser offenses and was a complete no show against the top teams he played against. So again if Bush is all hype is Williams all hype as well?

Ghost,

I agree with you. The only reason Williams climbed up the draft positioning ladder was due to his workouts at the combine rather than his performance on the field. What a foolish pick with the number one overall pick...

Hey DB, my daughter's party is also tomorrow. Her actual BDay is the 26th. I choose to believe that my wife isn't intentionally targeting the first day of the draft for the party. Just as I chose to believe it last year when the party was also on the first day of the draft.
If she is doing it on purpose, she knows more about the draft than she's letting on. She almost has me believing that she had no idea that it was on the same day. Again.

Good God, Bobo. Please stop being so agreeable. I'm having a hard enough time digesting the Mario info without you saying stuff like that. What's next, black is white and up is down?
j/k dude, for once you and I are on the same page.
