Kubiak has 3 Superbowl rings. 2 with the Broncos as Offensive Coordinator and 1 with the Niners as the QB coach. He also was a player in the 3 Broncos Superbowl losses in the 80s. He has played with and coached John Elway. He coached Steve Young. He knows what a winning organization is about.
He has been looked at for some Head Coaching spots. He interviewed with Houston in 2001 before the job went to Capers. He interviewed and was offered the Colorado Buffalo job after Neuheisel left. He turned it down because at the time the Broncos were still playing and it would have meant the Buffalos would have had to wait until February to get their head coach and he didn't want to do that to the school. I'm not sure what other teams have considered him in the past few years. I would think he's been looked at, but until this year coordinators in playoffs had to wait until after their team was eliminated to interview. No longer does that happen and the Texans are flying Kubiak in to interview this week.

I want Kubiak. He's from Houston, but that's the least of my interest in him. I think he has shown that he understands the offensive side of the pro game. The Broncos have a great running game each year, but also throw the ball well. Plummer threw for 3300 yards and 18 tds this season against only 7 Ints. This is remarkable for this guy. He threw for over 4000 yards last season with 28 touchdowns. I think he can help solve the offensive woes that hurt this team this season.
