Who Wants My Tickets

To All Who Like This Pick:

I am out this season. I WILL NOT go watch this POS offense. Hell, if I watch it at home, at least I can change the channel when it starts getting ugly in the second quarter.

2 Tickets in Sec 138 and Parking in Blue for $1400

Hey, I've been predicting we will make the playoff's this year and this makes it more rather than less likely. Each to his own, but I still say Bush did himself in we will just have to wait and see.

After all the smoke clears we are going to be glad we made this choice. Yes, the last few days did weigh on McNair in my opinion. Remember, they did interview this guy as well as Bush and VY.

What was Reggie supposed to add to the offense that would magically make it immediately that much better? He would have only be on the field for 40 plays a game, only be directly involved in our play 20 times a game. Our entire offseason thusfar has been about fixing the offense. We brought in the coordinator of the #1 offense in the NFL over the last 11 years, we brought in a former pro bowl WR, we brought in a solid TE, we brought in a pretty good OLineman. Our offense will be fine, likely not a top 10 offense but I expect them to be in the top 20 and be competitive, and with Mario our defense is significantly improved. Great DEs are much harder to find than great RBs and are much more valuable, and Mario is every bit as good as a DE as Reggie is a RB, has as few or fewer questions about his game, he is more of a physical freak. What part of this is bringing the world to an end? This is the best move for our team.

This is the first time I am on this board. I am big Bengals fan so this is kind of interesting to be an outsider. I live in Cincinnati. Mario Williams is a stud. He will come in and be a great pusher for that defensive line. You are going to a 3-4 to 4-3. You don't need Reggie Bush. Davis is a good back. He ran for a thousand yards behind a line that was god awful. The two picks are very simple take Mario williams or trade down to get Fergonson the offensive tackle out of Virgina. Reggie Bush and Vince Young by the way will be an the next Aki Smith should not be in this converstion. Mario Williams will be a good selection. The front four of that defence is to blount is pathetic.

Here's the skinny on your so-called STUD

Ten of his 14½ sacks in 2005 came in just three games and against lesser opponents. Half of his six sacks in 2004 came in one outing

He didn't do a whole lot against quality opponents.:brickwall

I'll tell you what he brings. He brings a level of play that makes opposing defenses game plan just for him, opening up other opportunities for the offense. Do you think opposing offenses will be game planning around Mario Williams??? Afterall, the guy was AVERAGE against GOOD opponents.

I get the feeling that "10 of his sacks..." line is going to be the chant for a while.

You know T. Ned - you oughta be REALLY p.o.'d. Oughta just give your tickets away for a 1/4 of the price so you save at least some face. :redtowel:

can't do that...the wife would have my @$$, and I gotta live with her...Hehe

we will be laughed at all day tomorrow. we are the laughing stock of the nfl and we will be drafting no 1 again next year. williams will probably inj. and miss15 games. this year.

Tell you what Texan Ned, distant cousin of TexanRed?, if you are so sickened and anxious about this team that you are willing to give up excellent seats, I will give you nose bleed prices for them, $350.00 for the pair. Of course I will give you the option of buying back your tickets for $2500 when the Texans are about to make the playoffs. Buy back parking not included.

Welcome to the board, if anyone is familiar with pain, misery, and losing, (other than an old oiler fan) its a Bengals fan.

We need someone to shut down Manning and crush Young.

Williams was rated one point behind BUsh and ahead of what Peppers was rated as.

Welcome home Mario Williams. D wins championships. I see at least two.

Look if you are all going to complain about the competion. Reggie Bush ran behind three men on the O-line are going to be pros, and oh by the way the last time I checked the pack 10 defensivley is not really that great.

I do know the pain of the Bengals, as a fan it has be rough but with Marvin and Carson Palmer and that offense things are turning around. They now need to fix that defense, and they will be ok.

Ned's knee jerked so much it hit him on the for head. Hey, if your gonna drop your team for drafting the best defensive prospect, lest have some balls and drop half the price. Wow, I mean wow!

Nah...Why drop the price when so many people seem to LOVE this pick???

(LAUGHING HYSTERICALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Now THAT'S soooooooooooo good.

The first true belly laugh I have had in days. Thank you, man.

I could just see you typing that, and biting your fingernails in anticipation when you hit the "submit" button....as if he'd come back and say, "heck yeah! you can have them..."

Nice. Very nice. (Still chuckling)

I'm with him. I'm selling my season tickets as well. We might both HAVE TO give them away. I doubt we can find anyone who will buy them.

Please nobody take those tickets off of his hands, I hope he gets stuck with them. :stirpot:

That's pretty funny. a Moderator admitting that someone might get STUCK with his season tickets. Now that is fan support.

Well, I'm disappointed with the pick, myself. Nevertheless, I'm pondering if I can cough up that kind of dough.

The mans a stud? I would bet half of the people here never heard of Mario Williams till the combine. He could be the next Reggie White but the mans stock seemed to rise when the pads came off, which I never understand. Last time I checked the game of football was played on the field not running on a track for 40 yards and seeing how much one can bench press.

The man had 10 of his 16 sacks in 3 games last year against lesser talent, not something I find very disappointing, he didnt even win ACC defensive player of the year. Who knows how much he benefited from playing on a line with 2 other days 1 talents in Lawson and McCargo.

DO I think he is a top 10 talent yes, but the #1 pick in the NFL draft?? When you have players like Bush and Young who have proved they can play on the biggest stage?

I question this move ALOT! And would be disappointed as a Texan fan, however I like the offseason moves of bringing in Moulds ( my boy ) and Putzier(sp?) from Denver.

This could have been a very scary offense with Bush. Now you have a young D-line with nothing proven just full of that one magical word, "potential." Babin, Johnson and now Williams. I hope for the best but feel you missed out on a great one in Bush.
