Who is your Favorite or least Favorite Football Writer?

Everyone seems to always be bashing most writers, so who are some of your favorites, or least favorites and why? Don't base it just on what they have to say about the Texans, but overall on NFL Football.
 
Best - Adam Schefter or Michael Smith

Worst - Len Pasquarelli

Dislike - John McClain

Adam and Michael have extensive football knowledge and they very often have an unbias analysis of players and teams.

I despise of Len because he is often incorrect and is the prime example of an ESPN puppet.

McClain is an excellent sportswriter, one of the best in the business. I do not like him, though, because he can't get over the fact that we passed on VY. Get over it.
 
Lately or recently, I hold disdain for:
1. Jerome "Queen" Soloman
2. KevAn Lee


Other than that, I don't really care for John "the Titan" McLain
 
John McClain is a namedropper of the first order. His Beauty-Parlorish carpet bombings overwhelm one, to say the least. It takes one back to Dresden in '45. Also, when he speaks, he sounds like he's deflating slowly.

Hey, let's start a movement to have CF take over for McClain. The change of job would be great for CF and we would have something entertaining for a change to read in the Chronicle:mail: :user:

Who is CF? I really hate when initials are used unless said person is called that all the time.
 
I have trouble listening to John McClain talk for long periods of time. For a few minutes it's ok and if he's got other people in the booth or on camera to break up his monologues I can deal with it. I run into problems when he's been going for two or three minutes and then starts randomly telling a story about how he was in Waco or Chattanoga, or Eastern Bukkfutter last month and had dinner with former coach and old friend __________________ and his mother ___________________ who used to bake cookies and knit socks for baylor football players like ________________ , ______________, and _____________ and she was telling stories about how Baylor football in 1939 was..........

That's when I change the channel.
 
I can't believe no one has mentioned Dale Robertson as the their least favorite sports writer.

And even that is supect. Skip is the National Enquirer of sportswriters/casters. He basically throws out stuff to see if it will stick and really doesn't know jack abut sports if he actually believes the stuff he spews. He is the one who was running with the Aikman is gay stuff, etc. He is a loser.

The best. I don't care for the NBA barrage and the Boston schtick can be overdone but for pure comedic value, relating to 30 something guys and mixing current events and sports. Love reading his stuff.
