Who do you want Day 2?

It doesn't much matter now. The draft is pretty well shot already by our 1st selection. But I'd like QB Petty or WR Strong if they're still on the board.

At this point, Devin Smith or Tyler Lockett in the second and a SOLB in the third. Hunter if he falls; otherwise someone like Lorenzo Mauldin or Eli Harold.

LMAO! Some of y'all should just stop watching this sport. It's obvious you know nothing about it so why bother?

I'd like us to get Kendricks too. Choice 1A would be a WR. But I don't want Gregory, not in second round at least.

ILB is my top want.

Not a big fan of Strong but if the board plays out and he's there, why not?

If Randy Gregory were to fall to 51, how concerned should we be with his 2014 injury situation?

Sounds more like mental issues:

Maybe he failed the psychology eval?

The caution may stem from potential medical privacy issues, as well as workplace discrimination laws. There are rumors, confined to social media and message boards, that Gregory may suffer from depression and/or anxiety. (He himself has said he first started smoking marijuana to deal with anxiety, though it’s not clear if he was using the term in its clinical sense.)

Jaelen Strong, all day. If we draft him I will be ecstatic even if we don't see KJ on the field until 2016.

Kendricks.

Then, like chigcagotexan, WR.

Of all the WR's left, I like the numbers on Green-Beckham, but he looks to be a disaster between the ears. Wouldn't take him day 2. Tyler Lockett, not on the OP's list seems to be a safe pick for the FO. Won't be surprised to see him.

please an ILB and WR

Would really like Kendricks/McKinney and Devin Smith/Chris Conley

ILB, OLB or WR
I want all of that. And a C/G. Don't know how to work that, though.

Most of all, I want a WR that can catch a slant on 3rd and 7. A go to guy. Strong, Beckham, and Coates seem to have the size to do that. Don't know if any will be there @ 51 or if the Texans would really consider Beckham if he was.

I like McKinney as a guy who could play multiple spots. But, he's a guy, not a difference maker. I would consider Hunter of LSU based upon potential. If Rowe is there at #51, I'll laugh. I think he'll be a better pro then Johnson.

I like Marpet and Morse at G/C. They might be best available in the 3rd.

I usually get a good chuckle out of your surveys and posts, and you stayed consistent here so thank you for this gem. I hope you find a a reason to still watch. It's just sports man.

A lot of talent left , I'd be thrilled with Kendricks ....

WR is a definite position of need but who's left other than DGB that has game changing talent ?? Would you take a chance in round two on a headcase with top of the first round talent ?! I wonder if he's this years Da'Rick Rodgers , falling , falling , falling ..... because of his off field issues.

I love when Seegara makes his way over to the draft forum. Consistently entertaining.

Yeah , the Texans quite possibly got the #1 corner in the draft with 9 picks left and loads of talent remaining .... but the entire draft is ruined.

I have heard several comments from the Texans, and also from the news media, that the organization is very pleased at Clowney's progress and are expecting him to be ready by game one. They are also projecting Mercilus to the SOLB position. Drafting Johnson over Dupree seems to validate this.

The team also seems to want a WR and reports are that they attempted to move back into the first to get Dorsett.

It looks to me that a WR in the 2nd round may be targeted. But having been bitten by the Colt's surprising pick, will they risk their targeted receivers being off the board at 51? A trade-up may be in the cards and their target will probably be Devin Smith or Tyler Lockett.

I think Kendricks, Perryman, Strong, Goldman, and Gregory will be gone. There are some good offensive linemen and receivers that will probably go before our pick at 51. I'm hoping for Eli Harold.

So, based on that smashing success, let's tee it up again and see what the BRBers are predicting on Day 2.

Tim:

With the 51st pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans will select Benardrick McKinney (ILB--Mississippi State).

Despite good WRs being available, the Texans figure they can still get solid value at the position in the third round.

BFD:

As much as I like the Kevin Johnson pick, he didn't address any immediate needs on the roster. After last night, I still think we lack tremendously at OLB, ILB, S, DE, and WR. It's doubtful Gregory or DGB falls to us, but I wouldn't mind seeing an Eli Harold with the next pick, but this would also be a good time to take Eric Kendricks. If Kendricks is gone, I think we can address ILB later in the draft as I don't see too much difference from the next five after Kendricks.

With the pick of Johnson, I would love to see AJ Bouye move to S. I see a lot of the same qualities in him I saw in Glover Quin at the position, and I think he could be an in-house upgrade over Swearinger. But so could a mannequin with its arms attached, so there's that.

Capt. Ron:

With the Colts setting up a ridiculous offensive boat race with T.Y. Hilton + Phillip Dorsett, I’m hoping the Texans move up and grab either Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State or Ameer Abdullah, RB, Nebraska. Houston’s defense is looking amazing, but the offense needs weapons to score consistently on more drives to keep up with the Colts, Broncos and Patriots in games that matter.

kdentify:

I would like Kendricks, or, failing that, McKinney.

Brett:

I think that the Texans will end up with Tyler Lockett at pick #51. He is a perfect prospect to fill the need at slot receiver, and he can immediately contribute on special teams as a return man as well.

Rivers:

I would be pushing the buttons to try to reel in Eric Kendricks, but my guess is the Texans stay put and take TE Maxx Williams, out of Minnesota.

Vega:

Again... you could completely make up names and I would believe that they're real people, but given those options, I would totally go with someone who spells Maxx with two Xs.

MDC:

I want Kendricks; I suspect we'll take Maxx Williams.

Is there a Robert Brazile clone on the board? Take him at #2 and best WR available at #3.
:)

I want an offensive weapon here if at all possible. Yes we have to stop the Colts, but we also have to score some points -

My top three choices and I would be happy with any -

Tyler Lockett

Maxx Williams

Ameer Abdullah

If we did go D,

Eli Harold to me is damn near as good a prospect as the guy we looked past at 16.

Randy Gregory has a lot of talent, probably top 10... but he is a big time gamble. I'd take him in the 3rd but the 2nd scares me. I don't want to come up totally empty with this pick. Boom or complete bust. Still - his talent is intriguing. More than likely, he is totally off their board. I'm including him here based only on his physical talent.

Lastly, Benardrick McKinney would fill that ILB spot very nicely.

I'd be happy with an ILB, that's for sure. After that, I'll always take the best lineman (of any flavor).

I love big ass strong lines. :)

While I wouldn't mind a WR, I personally think BOB is going to take Chris Conley in round 3 or 4.

If Carl Davis is there at 51, he'd be my pick.

Good Post. Devin Smith will probably be gone. Coates might just be right fit.

If you want Marpet take him here. Great fit, could wind up replacing Myers.

Morse should be there 3rd. great pick/value solidifies entire OL.

LSU players scare me now, character concerns.

My fault.

Sammie Coates is raw as hell, but he has the physical tools to be a good WR. At this point though he's just an athlete who happens to catch. I don't think Auburn's WR scheme is very complex and apparently ours is, so if you think he's got what it takes between the ears to pick up the WR scheme, pull the trigger.
