Who do you want at #33?

Htown34s

Waterboy
I'd love to see some of the CB's fall. So far after 18 picks there are a ton left, but I expect to see a big run of them taken at the end of the 1st round.

PBuc is the biggest weakness left on the team IMO. I'd take the best CB at #33 and find a OT that fits the zone blocking scheme the best with one of the 3rd rounders.

Who do you take/hope is there at #33?

Slay from Texas Tech.

Coleman is gone. We need a big hitter, an enforcer roaming the field looking for heads to knock off.

You get a guy like Slay in the middle of the field, and it makes your CBs instantly better.

Or, I'd like to see a cornerback.

Another defensive position pick, you ask? Yes. Might as well beef up the defense even MORE while we're at it. We shot our wad on a defensive end who we think is going to bolster our defense, so I'm hoping we just round out the D. Shoot, go ahead and spend every pick on defense for all I care.

I'll take Winston..O-line is a must..then they can at least say their plan was to build the lines. 3rd round they can then get CB or Safety and LB. Again, I still think there is a crazy chance for them to move up to late 1st and get the other RB.

Is that a joke? He ran a 4.9.

How about Darnell Bing?

A Corner would be a good choice but I think they will take the best available offensive lineman. That might be a good idea. Get someone who is familiar with the conncept of pass blocking

Dude, Slay is rated as a 5th rounder at best by most sources...He is bad in coverage and runs a 4.82...Just say no...

The Texans will take either Eric Winston , Richard Marshall or Laurence Maroney .

bye bye Maroney, if we even think about a RB it will be Addai and i dont think we would even take him

If we take Lendale I would not be disappointed. Reason being it would be Kubiak's decision and I would surmise that he knows people who know Lendale in the Denver area.

I don't want to trade up now if it cost one of third round picks because it looks like some very good players are going to be available at 33.

What the heck is going on? This has by far been the most bizarre draft I've ever seen...

What in the world happened to Jimmy Williams and Johnathan Joseph? All the mock's I saw had them being the first two CB/DB's taken off the board, but all the other ones have been taken instead (Hill, Cromartie, etc.) How in the world did this happen?

Do we have a shot at any of these?

I hope we get a shot at Jonathan Joseph. He sure would look good opposite of DRob.

O-LINE. O-LINE. O-LINE.

If Eric Winston is on the board, and we pass on him, people will die. I don't want another 1000 sack season.

I dont think we should address RB now; We have a good RB, and the onyl reason we considered Bush is because he was simply too amazing to pass up. That being said, we might as well adress needs and go for OL.

At this stage, Winston Justice would be an absolute steal.

For what its worth, I think at this point you take a potential playmaker. Solid OL can be found in the middle rounds.

what is the fascination with Winston? he blew at Miami last year

He was recovering from a knee injury. If he had not injured it, he was probably coming out last year.

Winston Justice has too many character issues. Run-ins with the law.

If finding solid OL was that easy, ours wouldn't suck so much. It's worth the #33 pick.

Again, I think our OL personnel was not the problem, it was the offensive schemes.

I disagree. I don't think Wade or Weigart are ever going to be great O-linemen. They need to be replaced. When you have the worst pass protection in football history, it's more than just scheme. Talent has to be a factor, too.

yeah, but he will sign for less money than the other defensive backs, and that's what we look for: signability. correct?

I wouldnt mind taking ANOTHER OL with pick 65 or 66. But since it is the most glaring need, and since an imporved OL with (in my opinion) really give our team a shot at playoffs, lets go for it. Justice earned his starting job back, and maybe he's grown up a bit.

With a MUCH improved offense, and a decently improved defense as well; not to mention the fact that last year we were very competible (blew many games in last quarter) I honestly think we have a good shot at winning some games. While I wanted Bush GREATLY, the pass rush is going to help.

To an extent. I do think Pitts and Wand will be fine.

Jimmy Williams. Move him to safety and let the good times roll. Has ehart and a mean streak on the defensive side of the bal!
