Where We Currently Stand

Well, our Houston Texan football team has had better times. Right now, we're 0-6. Not great obviously, but i strongly feel an improvement coming.

We played solid first half football last week against Indianapolis, so know we know we can excecute. Also, we've played a very tough first six games, and the schedule lightens up some the remaining 10 games. Let me remin you that we were 0-2 last year going into Kansas City, and we barley won that game or we'd be 0-3, and who knows what would have happend from there.

Therefore, its not time to panic. I feel Dom Capers' steady and consistent approach towards attitude, gameplan, etc will eventually pay dividens. My goal is to finish 8-8 (.500), and it could save players/coaches jobs. It will also be an improvement from last year. I belive we can do this as well.

Dont ever give up on us, continue to proudly cheer the Texans! *Remember: the new 10-game season starts Sunday against Cleveland.

Go Texans!:texflag:

This is the game that will give them confidence. The Browns kicked the crap out of the Texans last time, but this is different team so we can throw that out the window. I think the team is finally p.o.'ed and hopefully we play as a team. We've have a few injuries and new players and this is the game to start gelling. I look for a win this game....NO I GUARANTEE it! The Texans will win this game or I will sport a Carr sucks avatar until we win.

Now that is confidence.

0-6. Its time to panic.

If the texans lose to the Browns, their confidence will be fully shot. I see them going 1-15. Their only win will come to the Niners.

ummmmm....Coach Capers, I presume? :um: (j/k)

yeah, that was a great half of football. It's a shame that the league makes us play a full 60 minutes, though.

I don't find comparisons to last year's team of much help. There is a huge difference between an 0-2 team and an 0-6 team. That 0-2 team last year still had the ability to beat other teams. Our 0-6 team would have a tough time fighting it's way out of a wet paper back with a hole in it. They have yet to play a full game of solid football.

Not time to panic, 'eh? ohhhh-kaaay. :ok:

While I respect your right to optimism - and thinking the rest of the season will go 8-2 is blindingly optimistic - I'll have no part of that koolaide you're drinking.

Right now I see an 0-16 team. If we can win at least one by mid-season, then I'll say we might be a 2-14 team. But anything more than that is just being unrealistic, IMO.

I think realistic 3-13 with this being the first win to start our 10 game season.

I like your first part of the goal, I hope the second part McNair disagrees with.

I've got the tally up to 7 full quarters of NFL-caliber football so far this season (4 vs. the Bengals, 2 vs. Titans, and 1 vs. the Colts).

But hey, the 9-week season starts on Monday!

I have given up on the Texans actually winning a whole NFL game. At this point in time, I am just hoping the Texans are able to do something that has eluded them all year: HAVE A LEAD IN A GAME.

This record should illustrate better than anything how horrible this team has become. Capers and the rest of his crew must go NOW. I cannot understand how keeping them into control for even another game helps in any way. The fact that Capers is gone will be the first step in getting the rebuilding started.

Yeah, and that's what 49er fans were probably saying last year. There is a concept called "being realistic." Might want to try it sometime.

Keep rooting though.

I respect you not giving up

I will say that normally Vinny wouldn't allow this, but I bet he would turn a blind eye to this one!!!!!!
