Where is Billy Miller?

Texansbacker

Waterboy
I was at the game but did not notice Billy Miller. I did see Bruener make a catch but how does our leading reciever in year one go to no catches in year three.

Granted I understand that Miller was pretty much our only option in the first year and now we have AJ and DD to throw it to, but Miller is still an effective option. Perhaps we throw it to him instead of butter fingers Baxter in the endzone and he makes the catch? Is Bruener going to get all of the looks now?

From my limited perspective it appears that when Miller gets the ball thrown his way: #1 He is sure handed & #2 He usually makes something happen.

The coaches can't hold onto the ball for guys or catch it for them, but they can place emphasis on fundamentals during practice, and they can place those with the talent to make a difference, into a position in which they can make a difference.

Personally, I hope to see all of our guys eliminate turnovers and it would also be nice to see Miller get at least one opportunity. It ould make a difference.

only thing is he he aint effective in blocking and since bruener can catch and block they put him in there maybe to be able to bring in an extra reciever

Yeah but i still think billy miller will be a big facter before the seasons over.

I don't think that pass was intended for "butterfingers Baxter". That was a high throw intended for Bruener but Baxter pull up in front of him and jumped for the catch.

To answer your question. Billy Miller got hurt yesterday, groin strain. That's why Bruener played most of the game.

Billy Miller will continue to be a valuable TEXAN! He is a consistant player with great hands, plus Carr has lots of confidence in him. He was nursing a groin injury, but will be back in full form soon. He's a TEXAN and we all love him and look forward to seeing him this season. :thumbup

And if you watch the replay, the ball is tipped right before it gets to him and shot down into his chest. It was a tough play and almost an impossible catch and I think he played a pretty good game all around.
