6-10 is an obtainable number i think we could go for this year. 7-9 isn't out of the question either. course, we dont have to try too hard to do better than last year...

I'll go with 7-9. It seems likely that we have the tools to be at least as good as we've ever been.
Next Year, barring catastrophic injuries - Playoffs!

I have stated for some time I believe this is going to be a special year. I voted top of the line, but my biggest hope is that we will make the playoffs. From there anything can happen. We will be young, but we will be good. Yes, Kubiak is going to run the ball, but do not under estimate what our receiving coor is gong to be like. You are going to see some home run balls this year.

Just like the draft everyone assumed we would go offensive with the 1st pick, but we didn't. With what we have in our receiving coor with two all pros don't discount the passing game. I have a feeling Kubiak has another surprise instore for the league.

Even though I voted for 7-9, I really think 8-8 is possible. Are we better or worse right now than the 2004 Texans? I have to say better and that team finished 7-9.

Of coarse I said the exact thing last year.

7-9 with my brain
8-8 with my brain and and some heart
9-7 with my brain and heart and some soul
10-6 with all my brain all my heart and all soul
What may be may be but the playoffs would make my year. A tough schedule ahead but we have to play these teams hard and twice in our division...Indy, Tenny, and Jacky. throw in a few weak teams and who knows we may do it. Gotta wait and see and I'm lookin and waitin all for it...it only get better ya know...:fans:

This will be my first post! Even though, I'm extremely upset that we passed on Bush and then took DeMeco Ryans with the next pick, it ended up working out with a great 3rd round so I'm still putting all my stock into our new coaches. I sincerely think they will make a bigger difference than people realize. We have the players for a winning team so I'm going to say that we will end up with a record of 9-7 but even if we go 0-16, my pride for the Texans will never waver. Go Texans!

8-8 We'll be the 06 version of the 05 dolphins. (A team with a new Coach that came out of nowhere)....:stirpot:  :fans:

Agree, that's why I said 9-7!

We were 7-9 two years ago, we have tons more talent now than we did then so I say 9-7 is very obtainable!

Oh yeah BTW we lost tight games that year to

I think at least 8-8. I think we will start off slow (new system) and pick it up in the 2nd half of the season. I think we have more quality depth (still have a ways to go) and better personel at the skills positions TE ( esp if Joppru comes back ) and our #2 WR is definitely an upgrade.

our offense shouldn't be so bland and defensively I hear we will be agressive (which suprises me in a capers style defense we weren't)

7-9 to 8-8

We are still missing a couple of pieces to be a real contender, the team needs time under Kubiak, and the Colts will beat us twice once again.

11-5, if not better....... I'm telling you guys, we are going to score in the high 20s every week. Mario and crew are going to put a couple on the board to help us out. Then, they'll be holding Indy and the likes to 14 & under......... Okay, maybe we'll allow Indy to score 18....... but that's it.

The first game, is going to set the tone. Philly is all discumbobulated right now. They are telling themselves, they will be Okay, but they don't know. Donovan hadn't played since what November?? If we can shake him up early, we can own him.

Some folks want to talk about all the DEs we have, but man we can pour on the pressure from start to finish...........

5-11 in 2006

10-6 in 2007

Superbowl Championship in 2008

I voted 8-8 but if we have a better record you will not hear me complaining. I think we were aggressive last year, we just didn't have the players to be successful.

as for me realistically i'm looking at no more than 7-9, but 9-7 or even 10-6 wouldn't shock me. i truly believe the system will work and the players will flourish in it.

8-8......... last year was a fluke. With a half decent coach who doesn't run a "Pop Warner" style offense (we were way to predictable) we could be great. We have WAY too much talent on this team to be losing so many games. Out with the old, in with a better record.

LOL.....

I can hope cant I?

6-10 would be my guess. I'd much rather it to be 8-8 but anything more than 4 wins will be acceptable to me with a brand new start almost...:ok:

8 - 8 would be realistic. I think there'll be a few teans that underestimate us next year.

5 - 11. A pretty difficult schedule and an entire change in defensive and offensive schemes.

5-11 this year. I think it's a tough schedule and I think we're going to lose some close games as we get our feet wet with the new system. 2007, though, we're gonna RAWK!

7 people said 11-5 or better. HOLY COW! :redtowel:

You can't get to the SuperBowl thinking you'll have a .500 season. Realistically, we have to believe we can win everygame..

We've got offense, we've got defense, now it's time to see what the coaces can do.

I believe when this team gets it's first win next season, things will get to snowballing in regards to excitement and spirit. With all this teams been thru and the suppression it's endured, it'll explode like a freshly pruned tree. I really believe the turnaround will be astounding. I don't think this team is as bad as the record would indicate, and most of the coaches from the opposing teams we've played stated the same thing. Most said in interviews prior to the games that this team isn't as bad as the record would indicate so they shouldn't be taken lightly. With the new staff in place and the different schemes tailored to the gifts of the squad, I believe the change will be miraculous. Write it on a calendar. 01/18/06 TA__________________

It's way to early for a real prediction but I'll bite. At this stage I think we'll improve in both offense and defense but not enough to make a big difference in the win column. 6-10 with wins over the Eagles, Bills, Jets, Raiders, Browns and Titans. Anything more and I'll be elated. I would not be shocked if we wind up picking in the top 5 again though. That schedule is brutal.

I voted for 7-9, and I'll set that as the o/u. I wouldn't be surprised if we won more than 7 games, but I'd really be surprised if we didn't win at least 7 games.:texflag:

We're taking two games from Tennessee...... we can't accept anything less.... we shouldn't expect anything less. They are rebuilding, even if they won't say it. Volek Shmoleck, he'll be sitting down past week 8, and we'll forget their recievers names again.
(7-9)
We play Indy second game of the season........ if we put pressure on him early, and keep it on, we can have him second guessing himself all year. We can steal that game.
(8-8)
Redskins.......
We're going to clean house at home.......
(9-7)
Miami at home....... what'd I just say??
(10-6)
Cowboys...... they planning to get back at us on their way to the SuperBowl. yeah right......
(11-5)
Jacksonville....... that home thing again...
(12-4)
Tennessee....... this is the win you gave us.
(12-4)
NYG.........Eli........ Meet Mario........ Tiki..... Meet Mr. Weaver
(13-3)
Jacksonville on the road... you've got it as a loss
(13-3)
Bills, you've got it as a win..
(13-3)
NYJ.......You've got it as a win
(13-3)
Oakland........ on the road...... Aaron Brooks, Moss..... oooohhh this is gonna hurt..
(12-4)
Tennesee...... back at home
(13-3)
New England...... Foxboro....... it's cold in December....... you're right, we loose this one.
(13-3)
Indy.. on the road...... we drop two in a row. But you already counted this as a loss.
(13-3)
Cleveland........ Going into the playoffs, we need the momentum
(13-3)

It could happen.:ok:

5-11, Which is good from being a 2-14 team the season before. Your offensive Line is still questionable. Those prospects you drafted could potientially be good starters but its gonna take time to learn Kubiaks system, adjust to the NFL, and adjust to the new media and surroundings. Then towards your defense...Its still not gonna be that good... Rookies take time to adjust to the NFL. 6-10 or 5-11 is a realistic record for the Texans next season and a Top 10 Pick.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
P.S Your not gonna beat the Redskins or Colts. No offense, but you will be demolished by those teams. Stop thinking you can beat those teams homer... But you can beat Oakland, that'll be a good game...

Young defense, no change in running game. Tougher NFC division, but new coaching.

6-10, with luck. 4 or 5 wins is more realistic.

Wins:

Eagles
Browns
Jags
Tennessee
Buffalo
Jets
