They would have the potential to win 8 or more games off of their talent, but that much youth would likely not win that many games at all. A lot of their success also depends on the coaching staff and what system they run for all of them and how well they teach them.

Many years ago, the Super Bowl Champion would play an exhibition game against a team of college all-stars. They finallly discontinued the annual game because the college all-stars kept getting the crap beaten out of them.

An All-Rookie team would go 0-16.

College all-stars vs. Super Bowl TEAM champions is a no brainer. I think if all the rookies got together and had a mini-camp, followed by training camps, followed by preseason, followed by the season, with the amount of talent on the roster, could easily have a winning record

Both.

I think the last game was in the mid or late 70's. It was a collection of college seniors who were going into the draft. The Super Bowl Champion would play them in a exhibition game.

But as gtexan pointed out, if a bunch of rookies played a whole season after spending training camp together, they would have a better chance. But would not have a winning record and would probably only win 1, maybe two games against one of the lesser teams in the league like the Texans or Saints. Even that would be a stretch considering they would have no veteran leadership and not much familiarility with each other.

The college all star game was played in Chicago every year starting in 1934 until 1976, with the exception of 1974, which no game was played. Pro teams won 31 games, lost 9, and tied 2. Last college win was in 1963 when all stars beat Green Bay. Attendence for these games in the 1940's was from 90,000 to over 105,000 people in 1947. The last game in 1976 drew 52,000. These college players were the top college players of the year playing against the champs of the nfl. This game will never be played again. Too much money involved for the teams and the college players to risk tearing up a knee on either team in a game that means nothing. Data from NFL Fact Book 2005.
