I am probably the only person in the world who doesn't know this, but what is that gray / silver alien record player looking thing near the sidelines at the 50 yard line on the Pats field?
 
the alien record player ... i think that's elton john.

i really cant tell, it looks like just random markings. idonno:
 
Wondered about the field preparation. Wind must have been blowing hard when they painted it... looked like everything was overshot and smeared. And then it got worse from that.

No caddy, that was what I was refering to in my original post. not the midfield emblem.
 
I wondered the same thing last season. I think they have a sculpture just like it just outside the stadium. To me it looks like a shaving razor, which could make sense given they play at Gillette Stadium.
 
I didn't see it. Are you guys talking about the tower?

I know what he's talking about, and I've also wondered what the heck it is... Its silver and looks like something out of "Independence Day"... I think there are two on each side of the field at about each 30 yard line...
