What Team would you never play on?

If you were a proffesional Football player, what teams would you never ever play on (even if it meant pulling of an Eli Manning)? and Why?

For me its the
Browns - Unis suck, never been good
Cardinals - Never been good
Bills - Unis suck, when they were good they were still bad
Saints - Unis suck, located in a freaky city, and never been good
Titans - Have a crappy owner
Raiders - I have just never liked them, crappy owner, Unis suck
Cowboys - Do I need a reason?
 
Easy answer! Titans and Cowboys, for obvious reasons. I've always said that if my beloved grandson grew up to be a professional football player and played for the "girls," it would be the first time in my life that I would pull against him! If he played for the Titans, it would depend on if Bud was still living or not!

Easy answer. There are no teams I wouldn't play for if I were capable of being in the NFL. The guys that are lucky enough to have the athletic ability to do so should consider themselves lucky to be an NFL player.
 
The Browns. Those have to be the some of the ugliest uni's I have ever seen. Other than the 'bumble bee' look the Pittsburg Pirates used to wear.

That's a darn good answer!!!! I'm one of those who had the heart, desire but lacked size and got over looked a lot.
 
I would play for any team that chose me. Of course if I had a preference, naturally the Cowboys or the Texans. If the Cardinals drafted me, then I would do the best job I could for them and hope that I could attact the Cowboys or Texans when contract time rolls around. The only concern I would have is ethics, and if there aren't any breaches there, I'm cool. I tend to try to separate the emotions from possible sound business decisions.

For some reason, the Cardinals and Patriots are my least favorite teams, but either way if thse teams were the only choice, then I would have to find a way to make Lemonaide of the those Lemons. The average length of a contract is too long to be miserable. :)
 
I can't for the life of me figure out why any of you that have posted so far that have listed teams that you wouldn't play for . . . have totally forgotten about those Cincinnati BungHoles.

The other ones don't hold a candle as far as ugly uniforms go.

And LMBH and WWJD, both of you are party poopers :love:
 
Lions - Don't like the fans or media
Philly- Same
San Francisco - Owner
St Louis - Owner and Lenord Lewis
Minnesota - Want to play in an english speaking state.
Arizona - I don't mind hot, but 110 is too hot
SD - Same
New England - Again, only english
Miami- I like to breathe air, not drink it.
Cleveland, Cincy - Ohio sucks.
 
I wouldn't play for the Steelers.. I hate them from the oiler days.. might as add the browns and bengals to that list...

Jags are on my list too
 
In reality what if these teams you say you would not play for offered you a nickel more than the other teams. You all would be like just about every professional athlete out there, you would jump at the chance for more money even if it was the Cowboys.
 
Sure. I agree. Guys that even get to the NFL are going to go where the money is good and they don't care if the uniforms are ugly or maybe the city is boring by somebody's standards.

I would imagine there has never been anybody that refused a contract with a team because they didn't care for the uniform.
 
I would want to play for any team that drafted me. IF I could pick 1 team that couldnt draft me It would probably be the Jags because the Texans OWN them.

You sound like a very determined person. I'm sure you're a successful person or will be in whatever you decide to pursue. There's a few really small guys in the NFL but as the rule they are mainly beasts.
 
any team that would pay me a more in a year than I'll probably make in my lifetime to play a game ......
 
Personally, I'd give my left, <cough>, and maybe even my right one to play in the Show. There are coaches that I wouldn't wanna play for (although if it were my only option, I'd take it). Tom Coughlin is one guy I wouldn't wanna play for.

Not me! If I was on the Texans and my contract reached its final year and the franchise is having some cap problems and all they can offer me is 5 mill and the boys are offering me 10 mill then I would play for fun and wearing colors I love then play for just one color I love and 2 more that I hate.
 
I would never play for Pittsburgh, Dallas, or any of the punks in our division. Oh yeah, I still hate the Browns and the Bengals also.
 
There's been maybe a handful of players that have balked at going to certain teams. Something tells me if any of us had the ability to play NFL football we'd be going wherever we were drafted...with a big million dollar smile on our faces.
 
Kind of how Brian Cox had a tatoo that said Bills Hater and then he went and played with the Bills for a couple of years at the end of his career?
 
I would never play for Green Bay, i don't know why i just have never liked green bay, but i have alot of respect for brent favre.

I don't particularly care for Eli Manning but I don't think his decision makes him a "royal jerk" It's his call, simple as that. If he doesn't want to play for a team why is that any different than you not wanting to work for a particular company? His "talent" (real or percieved) gives him a chance to be drafted in the first round but I think you have somehow managed to confuse the NFL draft with the wartime draft. Newflash man, this isn't mandatory.

If I was in his position and I didn't want to play for the Chargers I'd do the same thing. I'd tell them right up front that if they picked me it would be a mistake because I'd never sign with them in a million years.

Example; If someone smacked me in the head with a magic wand and suddenly I was a young Earl Campbell quality running back I'll tell you something. I'd tell all 32 teams that if you don't have a red, white, and blue bull on your helmet then don't waste your time or mine because I'm playing in Houston and that's all there is to it. I'd do college commentary for my old school while I waited to re-enter next seasons draft and I'd remind the team that was stupid enough to pick me of my plans to play for the Texans on a regular basis. Best case scenario is the Texans get me cheap because if the team that picked me doesn't trade they get nothing and they've only got one acceptable trading partner to deal with.

If I been in Eli's place and felt like he did then I'd make a point of not being at the draft waiting to get a Chargers cap and a jersey handed to me. What's really the point if I'm not going to play for them? I would not have put myself in that position and I think that was a foolish thing for him to do if he'd already said no to the Chargers. He had every right to say no though.

Calling him a royal jerk because he doesn't want to work someplace is stupid though. You go work someplace where you don't want to be and see how you like it.
 
I would just be happy to have a chance to play in the NFL. but that would nevver happen anyway because I am a girl......

and I wouldnt want to play for the Chiefs.......if I had to pick to either go to Kansas City or Oakland I would go with Kansas City.
 
If given the oppertunity, I would play for any NFL team. If i had the talent to play at that level I would play fo whoever would give me the oppertunity. I would even play for well below minimum. I do not have the skills to play at D3 college, let alone NFL, so if given the oppertunity I would play anywhere.
