What do the Texans and others need (NFL.com)

We may not draft based on needs, but what do you guys think our biggest needs are? Gil Brandt has a thread at NFL.com about what each team needs.

Lots of interesting tidbits. For instance, under the Texans it says,
1. Offensive tackle 2. Defensive line 3. Cornerback

Was surprised at cornerback, but maybe he'd written it earlier, though it's dated yesterday.

There are also a few laughs. Like for Detroit, it says there number one need is an offensive line. Not a player, but a whole line.

Others of interest to us:
Tennessee Offensive tackle Cornerback Wide receiver
Jacksonville Cornerback Offensive tackle Tight end
Indianapolis Linebacker Offensive line Defensive line

Apparently for Indianapolis, anything with the word 'line' in it.

What do you all think?

I think the article might be a few days old if they have CB as our third most important need. I would have our needs as 1. O line, 2. ILB, 3. TE (depending on the Joppru issue). But even though they have O line as our #1 need, which I agree with, I doubt we pick O line with our 1st pick...

I agree texan279. Our I think we take the franchise LT in next year's draft when there could be as many as 5 selected in the first round (all things remaining constant).

Take some center in 3rd round this yr, and than find a way to get D'Brickshaw(spellin?) Ferguson in next years draft.

If we're all going to throw in our opinion of how the O-Line should be fixed, then here's mine: Jason Brown in the 3rd, (insert name of any guard here) in the 4th, and a LT in the first next year...Seems like a winner to me :thumbup ....

Two words for who we should get next year. Winston Justice. Lets see he is 6'6'' 300lbs with 5% body fat has a 39" vertical. The guys will dominate this year. By far the most athletic offensive lineman in college.

To get him we will have to lose some games this year though. Some people have him as a top 5 pick next year.

Brickshaw ain't nothin compared to Justice.

That sounds alright. What about trading down and picking up a 2nd to take Baas or Spencer and then trading up(because we will be a playoff team and have a mid 20 pick) into the top 5-10 next year and get our franchise left tackle. Justice was also the one I was thinking about.
