I for one, am pumped about getting SuperMario...

This guy is a defensive STUD. It is very rare to find a player with his combination of size AND speed...

If you read John McClain's article this past week, you'll remember that he said: "if you call Vince Young is a freak, then you have call Mario Williams a Super Freak."

I truely believe that Mario Williams is going to be a difference maker for the Texans.

I would have been happy to get Reggie also, but I have to admit that all of the "controversy" around Reggie was starting to make me nervous. Not to mention that it seems to me that Reggie was not going to be reasonable with regards to his contract $$$.

John McClain said on the radio today (on 610 around 4:30 pm), that he spoke to Reggie, and told him: "If you go ahead and sign with Houston, you can get down to Houston, start working out, and put all of the controvery behind you." He said that Reggie responded: "Why don't you tell Mr. McNair to go ahead and up his offer so that I can do that?"

It seems like Reggie was asking for too much money $$$

In any case... the old saying goes: "Offense wins games, defense wins championships."

Kubiak is going to make our offense great. Now we have a QUALITY defensive player. I think this will make our team much more WELL ROUNDED!!!

I'll admit that I was suprised to read that Mario was drafted when I got home from work. But hey, you can't really complain when you get a DE with the ability to be as good as Julius Peppers.

People's imaginations need to switch from loaded offense to smooshing Peyton Manning and a consistent pass rush and run defense. No more worst defense in the league.

Our front 4 looks really nasty now. Weaver, Johnson, Smith, Williams.. thats a nasty and YOUNG defensive line. Babin to come in for weaver on passing situations.. We are gonna have the tools to put up some nice sack numbers.

I can't wait to cheer until my throat is sore every time he slams a QB to the ground...especially if it's one of our division rivals!!

I think once the shock wears off, fans will start seeing that this is a smart pick. We don't need a prima dona RB that thinks he's worth too much and has to hold out on us, we need a big time defensive playmaker!

You know, I was just talking to a friend about this. We were talking about how we didn't really get the sense that Reggie Bush really wanted to be in Houston anyways. Like it didn't feel like a good match or fit. Maybe he didn't want to be around a bunch of Longhorns or whatever, but I never had a sense he wanted to be here.

We never really talked about that much pre-draft because it seemed inevitable that he was coming here, and we wanted to try to support him, but that it just didn't seem like it was going to be a good fit. That it was all about being the #1 pick and doing his best wherever. That might not be a fair comment as it was just more of a feeling than something that was explicit.
