At one point before the Texans went to the new Message board and then went back to it, was this the official board after they made the new forum? Then Vinny, I'm guessing changed the domain to what it is now?

Mod team if this needs to be moved then please do so, i have not seen you guys in years since they went to that awful set up, thankfully they are back with v-bulletin...

Yeah, it got complicated.

There was the Official board and there was the Texans Talk board.

Then the Offical board went to some piece o' crap board software that integrated better into the website but pissed all the regulars off to the point they stopped going to it.

Then Texans Talk got the old files/databases or whatever from the old Official board and migrated it here. So all the old regulars still have their accounts and history from the old official board, but some of the Texans Talk regulars are ticked because they lost all the accounts and history from the old Texans Talk board.

Whew.

So... uh... I think that answers part of your question.
 
And you are right - this board has a top notch user base. A much higher knowledge to ignorance ratio than a lot of boards.
