vince young's throwing motion

I got to see the 3rd quater of todays game and what concerned me was VY throwing sidearm alot.. did he do that the whole game? if so .. isn't that a concern being it seemed alot worse than what Carr was doing at Fresno

Couple of thoughts:
- VY is 6'5'', DC is a genereous 6'3''.
- Bernie Kosar was one of the slowest QBs with the most awkward throwing motion
- VY has much better mobility than DC
- DC was picked to high
- VY will most likley be picked next in 2007 somewhere on the first day

Just so everyone knows, Vince Young simply does not have an NFL arm. Plain and simple. He does not have the proper throwing motion to become an NFL QB

His throwing motion is irrelevent. Several QBs have had successful careers with similar motions. Young's biggest problem is that he doesn't step into even half of his throws. What's puzzling is that this is so easy to fix but he, or the coaches, haven't appeared to do much about it over the past four years. In college, that's okay. You have more time for the ball to arrive. But it will most certainly be something that he'll have to work on before he arrives.

His throwing motion will never change though. You'll read articles about how he and his new QB coach have been working on it and they'll tell you to expect changes next time you see him. But it's not going to happen just as nothing changed with Carr's or David Rivers' arm.

VY will be picked sometime in the first round in 2007. DC wasn't really picked all that high when you consider that Joey Harrington was taken shortly after him.

i think someone made mention of VY's noodle arm in a previous thread. His throws are really ugly, kinda looks like a girl throwing the football except he can throw it farther.
