USC Players got problems?

Come to think of BIG Name USC's players White, Mike Williams, and Bush all have problems.
White got fat and didn't show up in college combine, drop to 2nd round. Good thing for USC is he have better change of all USC players mention above to have big impact in NFL.
Mike Williams didn't show up for mini camp, got fine for $400k.
Bush holding out over contract issue.

This is the first time that I know of from one school have so much talent, big name players, and yet to show it in the NFL level.

They need to get their minds on football. They are all thinking about the riches and the fame. It didnt help that Williams tried to challenge the NFLs early entry rule to begin with, which made him sit out and was the biggest mistake he could have made for his career.

White figured that he would get drafted based on his performace during the season and didn't need to prove anything else. Boy was he wrong, I can't believe how out of shape he was at the combine. It's rediculous how someone with so much money riding on his ability to play football can do that to himself.

As for Bush, I don't see how he expects anyone to give him first pick money now, since he was the 2nd pick. He should and won't get the money Mario did, even if it is a dollar more. I can't understand how with all his endorsments he is actually considering sitting out this season just to be drafted again, does he realize hes going to lose out on more money just because of that?

And its not just USC players doing it, theres plenty of player and prospects doing it every year. Hopefully most of them come to their senses.

Those may have had problems so far, but Troy Polamalu, Carson Palmer, and Lofa Tatupu haven't been having much trouble.

There's good and bad.

To be fair to Mike Williams, he didn't try to challenge the NFL's early entry rule. Clarett challenged the rule and won when a court sided with him and said it was wrong for the NFL to stop players from declaring early. It wasn't until that decision that Mike Williams felt it was okay to hire a agent and declare for the draft, again at the time he had no reason to feel he was in the wrong, it was his right.

Then the NFL appealed and won, sticking Mike Williams between a rock and a hard place. After the appeal Mike Williams fought hard for his eligibility and instead of the NCAA recognizing the unique situation, using common sense, and accommodating him in what was clearly a legal debacle. They did what they usaully do, the wrong thing.

They do seem to have more troubled players than most, maybe it is just perception because of the exposure they have, but it seems to me they really do have more players in trouble than anyone else I can think of. Character issues you know.

One of their lineman that got drafted by the Bengals, I can't remember his name, Frosty something, that dude is going to get prosecuted. He allegedly abused alot of women, and they are coming forward from very different times in his past. From 13 until college. From the news story I saw, it would be hard to see how all of the women who are totally unconnected could have the same story. And he was put on a pedestal and given a free pass to these allegations early in his career because he was a highly successful athelete.

I agree with what you all are saying. KIDS trying to think to much and agents being greedy. Now I need a question answered, how can Bush go back into the draft next year? I thought that when the 'ants picked him they took the rights to Reggie Bush and that was that. I"m sooo confused. my thinking is along the line of the Texans the year they took Henson while he was still playing baseball. We had his rights so if he wanted to play football he had to come to us first, their was no going back into the draft. Can someone, anyone please explain?

Actually, henson could have gone back into the draft, however, the texans worked a deal to trade him to the cowboys before the draft. If your not signed, you can sit out a year and re enter the draft(i think). Not a really smart thing to do, as you will most likely drop down as there will be new players from the college scene who will be taken in the top spots and teams may be reluctant to sign you if you could not get a deal worked out the first time. There is an increased risk that many teams would not take.

You only have someone's rights for a year. They can sit out that season and re-enter the draft. I don't know that anyone's ever done it. The only person I can think of that's threatened it was Elway. That's how he forced the Colts to trade him to the Broncos.

I know its all talk right now but I know the saints are counting their blessing for holding on to Bennett right now. IMO reggie will sign just not before camp. Can't believe he's doing this to the city and the fans. By the way thanks for answering my question so fast.

USC is going to get the NCAA on their backs if they continue with their current ways.

Frostee Rucker has a sexual charge pending. Winston Justice had gun charges. Their current QB was arrested just before Spring Practice on a sexual charge.

Mike Williams is a turd. So is Reggie Bush. Besides his parents problems with accepting free housing, Bush showed his true character by getting a personal foul for throwing a punch vs. Fresno State, and also swung at a Longhorn in the Rose Bowl (not flagged.)

Pete Carroll has a bunch of thugs and turds on his team.

Think about it man. 2 of those 3 players have yet to even play in the NFL!!!! they were only drafted three months ago..
Exactly not even rush for a single inch in the NFL!!! and have problem already at the early stage of their career.
What would happen when they start making big money? Are they still play as hard as they did in college? or too busy spending there money. Plus with ego and arrogant, who know what would happen.

Bo Jackson did it. Was drafted first overall by Tampa, then waited a year and was drafted by the raiders....

the charges against sanchez will get dropped if they havn't already. if frostee rucker started abusing these women before he got to college then you can't blame pete for that, just that he might not have done his homework on a juco player. winston justice's gun charges are because of a pellet gun that was mistaken for a shotgun, but he shouldn't have pointed it at someone in the first place. when did this phantom reggie bush punch happen during the rose bowl cause i don't remember anyone saying anything about it? i don't think sc has had an abundance of off-field issues (except for the bush house scandal) compared to other teams it's just they are on top and every thing gets reported.

Yeah, I know...... I hear those USC running backs are getting away with murder.

I don't remember exactly, and to be honest I'm too lazy to look it up, but it was along the lines of pulling a gun on some other kids in what he thought was a prank.

Also, add to our list Sanchez if he is not on there. He was recently arrested.
