Undrafted free agent signings

homestate boys jason carter, aaron harris, and taurean henderson, maybe slay and appel for special teamers

Will Allen OG (hard worker, depth to OL)
Nealy QB from Texas State (good athlete, practice squad for a year or two).

1) Will Derting (ILB)

2) Kai Parham (ILB)

3) Freddie Roach (ILB)

4) Spencer Havner (OLB)

5) Tim Day (TE)

6) Hank Baskett (WR)

7) Martin Nance (WR)

I'd love to see one of the big QBs left: Bruce Eugene from Grambling, Drew Olson from UCLA, or Barrick Nealy from Texas State. All three of them were big-time, big-play, mega productive QBs in college.

Kai Parham didn't get drafted!?!?!?

I would be calling him in a minute. As soon as the last pick was done I would be on the phone.

He only started 5 games at USC, great way to adress our needs.

You are not addressing needs with an UDFA. something like 5%-10% of these guys ever play a down a regular season game. That includes long-snappers, kickers and punters.

5'-11" 3/4 205 4.64

Summary: Called the best pure athlete in the Trojans' secondary, Walker disappointing 40-time at the Combine could affect his draft stock. He came on late in the year and showed enough improvement for a team to take a chance on molding him on the second day. PFW

John Walker (6-0 3/8, 198) ran his 40s in 4.61 and 4.67. He also had a 39½-inch vertical jump, 10-foot-6 long jump, 4.25 short shuttle, and 6.87 three-cone drill. He was outstanding in position drills, and if anyone surprised the scouts with their position work, it was Walker.

Rumor is Barrick Nealy is on the Vikings, if its true there should be a link soon.

"They signed 17 rookies to free agent contracts, including the Gopher McKenzie and four receivers - Texas A&M's Jason Carter, Youngstown State's Kyle Smith, Southwest Texas State's Barrick Nealy and New Mexico's Hank Baskett.

Their other signings: North Carolina State linebacker Oliver Hoyte, Jackson State offensive tackle Albert Stinson, Clemson fullback Steven Jackson, Texas Tech running back Taureen Henderson, Colorado punter John Torp, Wisconsin offensive lineman Jason Palermo, Kansas cornerback Charles Gordon, Utah State offensive tackle Donald Penn, Massachusetts cornerback Robert Cobb, Fresno State running back Wendell Mathis, Mississippi defensive end Jayme Mitchell and Washington defensive tackle Manase Hopoi."

I still like RB Taurean Henderson from Texas Tech. He played in one of the all-star games, and he proved that he could run up the middle. We all know that he can catch the ball out of the backfield, and I just think he would be a good fit for the Texans.

More than Walker, and when he did play he showed more skills then Walker. The only thing that kept Cromartie from playing was injuries, the thing that kept Walker from playing was better talent ahead of him.
He played three.

How many games did Antonio Cromartie play?

I find the fact he got drafted as high as he did is amazing. He played 3 games, and he did do well; but it was for 3 games. He was only drafted due to his measurables. Which can lead to very bad things.

Cromartie played more then 3, how could someone been drafted so high just based on combined skills?

I was never very high on Cromartie for this reason. He was drafted on sheer athleticism. He missed almost 2 whole seasons, then came out early.

I had him rated below Eric Winston on my board. :stirpot:

Cromartie played in all 13 games as a sub-package cornerback and on special teams as a true freshman in 2003. He played in all 12 games as a sophomore in 2004, finishing with 22 tackles and four interceptions. He also played some wide receiver and averaged 22.9 yards on 19 kickoff returns that season. Cromartie tore ligaments in his left knee during offseason workouts and was forced to sit out the entire 2005 season. Instead of returning to Florida State for his final season of eligibility, Cromartie elected to make the NFL leap after missing the entire 2005 season with a knee injury.

Lifted from espn

The Chargers on why they took Cromartie: "We have a very good reason to believe he is fully healed. His previous injury is no longer a concern." That's it. They had more pressing needs and they gambled on a player with a guy that didn't even play this past season.

Hey, I think Marcus Vick has healed from that Pimp slapping that made his hand sore. Pick him up!

no way, tony hollings is a stud......:brickwall

oh, you're talking about cromartie

I am not sure if he got drafted or not, but I still like the QB at Grambling Bruce Eugene to get a chance. If not here, somewhere.

So, Nobody has picked up Marcus VIck yet? LOL, ridiculous. 6 months ago he was "Better of the 2 Vick's" according to ESPN.
