UNC, USC (Southern Carolina), UF investigated by NCAA

UF getting investigated by the NCAA - Maurkice Pouney investigation. UF Self reported this one.

UNC getting investigated by NCAA - This one is for Marvin Austin, Greg Little, Deunta Williams (rumored), and other players on the UNC Defense.

USC (Southern Carolina) TE Wesley Saunders under investigation - It appears that Saunders and Austin can't associate with each other.

Looks like the NCAA is getting P.O'ed by agents coming in and giving young college players some cold hard cash. Also, boosters giving the same to keep players out of the draft for a year. After USC fell pretty hard for Reggie Bush, I think these universities might be in hot water. Maybe not UF since they supposedly self-reported theirs, but definitely the Carolina schools could be in trouble. Especially UNC.

Back in the day TCU reported some violations it's players had been involved in, minor violations compared to some of the ones being tossed about right now, and the NCAA came down on them hard. Jim Wacker was furious, he stated why would a team self report if the NCAA is going to smack'em hard.

I think it stinks that the people being punished are not the one who were involved in the violations.

The agents who pay should be banned from representing players, guys like Reggie Bush should be fined all the money he and his family received and the Heisman Trophy should be pulled from him.

Pete Carroll is happy in the NFL, all this stinks.

This is the price you pay to have overachieve in the biggest sport in the nation for amateurs. I think if any of these schools get punished harder than USC (SoCal) then a lot of people are going to whine about it for years. If UF gets hammered over Pouncey, I'll probably feel the sorriest for them.

If Pouncey did take the money then just take away their Sugar Bowl victory and be done with it. That would be the only game he was ineligible for.

From what I've read, it's pretty much the reason that Austin took his twitter down. Also, college kids being stupid is pretty normal for all intents and purposes. Especially football players.
