Just read an interesting article on espn.com (NCAAF Section) about SMU’s revival. The articles title:

“Oh S———, Here Come All The Billionaires”, How SMU Came Back From The Dead

Talk about making their way back, while bringing all that available money with them…..BIG 16 should’ve had an offer on the table for the Ponies to join along with UH. The Ponies haven’t reached top status with the recruits at this point, but they sure have the NIL money to bring those players to Dallas….and that’s exactly what they’ve been doing recently. An even faster way back to relevance.

I’m not sure the Cougars have the boosters to make this kind of investment, but I sure hope they figure something out to start luring some top NIL talent to Houston to go along with a new marketing program to help cultivate the local talent into taking visits to see the Cougars program. I’d just like to see the Cougars return to their early glory again…..no NCAA Championships or final #1 Rankings, but they were exciting to watch and won football games.

That money isn't doing too well for SMU they lost to BYU who along with UH are picked to finish at the bottom of the Big 12.

They have the boosters. Most schools have the wealthy boosters. Its a matter of how much they want to invest in football. Moore, one of the UH donors is a billionaire along with Fertitta.
 
Coogs looking like different team now that they benched QB- Donovan Smith for QB- Zein Chriss. Can they continue the turnaround and make a Bowl game? It would certainly help their recruiting.
