Will evidently be out for our first game with the Titans at least:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Tennessee receiver Tyrone Calico, who missed the first three games after tearing cartilage in his left knee in the preseason, will miss at least two to three weeks with torn cartilage in the same knee.

Coach Jeff Fisher said Tuesday the Titans will send the second-year receiver for another doctor's opinion. Fisher said Calico could be out eight to 10 weeks or more if there's additional damage.

From theredzone.org

Sucks for the Thumbtacks, they really needed him to step up this year.

I saw him get injured also. It just seems strange to have the Titans looking up to us at this point.

Injuries are playing way too big a part in games this year.
Found these stats at NFL.com

Painful Reality...
The NFL's casualty list just doesn't seem longer this season.
It is longer...
In 2004, the number of players on Injured Reserve is up 39%.
The NFL since 1993 has averaged 105 players on IR through Week 3.
This year? 146.
Even more striking 33 of these players are Starters. Double the amount this time last season.

Calico facing surgery, season may be in jeopardy

Titans wide receiver Tyrone Calico will probably have season-ending surgery on his injured left knee, according to his agent.

Calico sprained both knees in a preseason game, had arthroscopic surgery on the left knee and missed the first three games. He re-injured his left knee during last Sunday's game at San Diego.

An examination by Titans doctors earlier this week revealed a torn medial meniscus that will require surgery. Calico received a second opinion from Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., and he came to the same conclusion.

But Calico's agent, Mike Sullivan, said last night that the wide receiver also has damage to the anterior cruciate ligament.

Sullivan said there's a good chance Calico will need surgery to repair his ACL. If that's the case, Sullivan said it would ''most likely'' be the end of the season for Calico.
