Die hard Lions fan here,

Just wanted to say the game on Sunday should be a good one. I have come to like and respect the Texans because of their talent and similiarities to the Lions. There are so many mathcups that could go either way. But how you guys play our run is key. KJ is due to bust out as DD probably will. Anyways....
I say which ever defense plays better will win it!

Good luck Sunday!

KJ is due to bust out as DD probably will

What logic does that have behind it?

Although he was a first round pick, that alone is not going to help him have a big game. he has 1 game under his belt where he rushed for 34 yards on 15 attempts and 36 yards on one catch.

Although he very well could "bust out" saying he is due, is a little bit premature. He needs to have his first 50 yard game, his first 75 yard game, his first 100yard game.

DD already has 150+ total yards and 2TDs this year.

Optimistic, but to say he is Due, is silly...

Well the fact that he will get more carries this week vs. Houston and he has shown amazing cut backs in pre-season tells me he should have a good game. Sure I am guessing, maybe even hoping, but the guy will get the touches probably 20-25 carries. So even on an average day he should be around 80 or 90 yards.

thats not bad for a second game. He could get more. Mooch wants him to get the ball.

well the first thing he needs to do is get his 2.4 yards per carry average up by AT LEAST 1.1 yards to a servicable 3.5 yards per carry.

At his rate it would take almost 40 carries to reach 100 yards. KJ has yet to show anything, i admit i hadn't seen him in preseason and this will be my first game to see him. But until he rips off a 100 yard game i'm not gonna consider him a strength. at best a sleeper right now.

Then how do you know what he is capable or incapable of? Until you watch a player, you can't judge a player. Stats are deceiving. No, he did not play well, but if you had watched him EVER, you would understand the optimism.

:woot In Domanick Davis's first start he rushed for over a hundred yards and had over 50+ rec. yards. Plus his next four games were hundred yard games. And isnt it the lions fans who say we dont have a good O-Line ??? This will be D.D first 100 yrd game of the season !!!!

Just thought i'd throw some stats at yall Good luck on sunday Detroit !

watched him in collage, he was in fact one of my favorite running backs. he showed good speed in collage, but in my opinion not a "shifty" back, he was in the hole and gone. much like william green was at BC., not shifty. up the middle back. green broke a hole lot, led the legue in rushing his senior year and hasnt done nothing in pros and got beat out by fellow teamate lee suggs at vatech. jones and green both ran 4.6's at the combine, downhill runners from what ive seen. dominic davis ran like a 4.6 at collage i thinkkk too. but he has outstanding quickness and power, lower strength and is VERY shifty. he will and can break tackles by many many ways. good matchup this weekend but kj has got to run the ball effectively if yall want to win. every lion fan knows that your team cannot rely on just joey to win for yall. he isnt very poised, and carr hasnt shown probowl stats neither but has a great feel for the game and just has some little things that hold him back from being very sucessful in this league.

good luck lions fan :)

Who's "collage" was he in? idonno:

The Texans will get beat by Rodgers a couple of times but they intercept Harrington twice because of double coverage (Robinson gets a little help from his friends in the neighborhood) pass plays and a beefed up blitz attack.

Texans 31-13.

Charles Rogers is on Detroit's IR. Maybe you're thinking of Roy Williams?
