Troy Williamson

Apr. 20 - After acquiring cornerback Phillip Buchanan for a second- and third-round pick, the Texans could feel better about taking a wide receiver at No. 13, and Williamson would be their dream pick. They can consider offensive linemen such as Alex Barron or Jamal Brown, and will look again at pass rushers such as Shawne Merriman and DeMarcus Ware, speculates John Clayton, but Williamson makes sense.
The Texans have added hope of getting Williamson if the Redskins don't take a receiver at No. 9. Williamson could go at No. 7 to Minnesota, but that could be Mike Williams' spot if he's available. The nice part of Williamson going to Houston is that owner Bob McNair is a South Carolina alum.

thats why we are going after all of this carolina players. i now like the idea of troy williamson. we helped to sure up our defense will phillip (if we keep him) and maybe look to help out the o with another threat down the field. with that being said we could still use a lb or d lineman.

Man I hope we dont take Williamson, but I do hope he falls to us. See if he does that entices a trade with Philly for their first and two seconds and we give up our first and fourth. If we stay were we are we trade up to nine if DJ is ther by offering our first and a next year third or fourth to grab him if not then we take the BPA. Which should be Thomas Davis or Demarcus Ware.

We could trade down and draft Mark Clayton from OU. He isn't going to be a bust. He will be a very good player, maybe not a superstar like AJ but still a very good receiver. I see him like a John Taylor kind of receiver.

the #13 pick is worth (exactly) the #31 and #35 from philly.

Ive been against taking a WR in the first since the idea first started to pop up. However, now that we have Buchanan.. our Secondary looks awesome and I may be more inclined to beleive that we could make Peek our starter (since we have some extra help in coverage now.. if we scheme right).

So.. Troy Williamson in the first.. actually doesnt look like too bad a deal now.

Intriguing thought...

If Williamson does become a Texan...imagine practice.

Williamson (South Carolina) vs. Robinson (South Carolina)

Johnson (Miami) vs. Buchanan (Miami)

They'd bring the best out of each other and probably have a history of making the other better!

Nice :woot

I have a gut feeling Williamson will be a bust of sorts. Just doesn't feel right to me, but then again, I don't know much. I would rather trade down than get williamson personally. There will be some all pro guys from this draft that are drafted in the late teens and twenties...Hopefully we pick one of them and he fits our system really well. I was thinking we would trade up, but I don't think that is going to happen anymore after last night...and that is fine.

Oh well, I guess we will all know soon enough.

I love that idea, but I think if Williamson is there, McNair will probably get his wish and Williamson will be the pick...
