Trade Up?

I would like to see the texans trade up and grab maybe Winston Justice and that would have filled the two most glaring needs on our team...Pass Rush and OL...or maybe grabbing Jimmy Williams..just somthing to think about, I do think we will trade up tho just don't know how high

Justice is falling, but that would be quite a trade up. I would be elated with the drafting of either Winston: Eric or Justice.

Frak, your Bush dream is over. PLEASE change your moniker. It's finally over :redtowel:
You mean my Signature? Because I dont see what "Frak The Jags" has to do with Bush...

Still hoping for DeAngelo. McNair said they want to grab a 2nd RB today.

I am glad to learn that our owner has now become our personnel director. What happened to all of the "we have DD and Morency, we don't need another rb" talk?

THats what I thought, but this morning when Rich Eisen talked to McNair, he said "We have Davis, but we still need a second RB."

I have been saying since yesterday that once they made Mario the man I thought they would move up but I think it is for D'Angelo. The kid is tough and can run inside and out.

DeAngelo would salvage the day for me :twocents: I think we have a shot since even all the WR are still on the board.

Man if we trade up to get D angelo I'll have very mixed feelings about that.

They must be feeling really good about our offensive line or willing to wait and see if J. Scott drops into the 3rd.

I'd rather NOT trade up though.

C'mon man, you got your guy at #1, let me have mine? lol

Justice still falling...maybe right to were we can trade up and get him, if we could find a way to only trade away ONE 3rd this year and one other pick this year and ONE pick next year that would be great in my eyes. Still have a second and a third. Time to grab maybe another OL or grab a CB or S.

Well I would not go that far, but he would be one large band-aid. High character guy and could be the real sleeper in this whole ordeal...

i think another RB is good, but i dont want to pay a rookie RB 54 million making him the highest paid back in the leauge when you could have signed James or Alexander for less

Yeah, instead I would rather pay $54 million to an unproven DE...

I think actually one of these backs are going to drop into the second round and then we can pick them up. I don't think we'll drop into the first round but I won't be surprised if we moved into the second round with our multiple 3rd round picks. That would give us two 2nd round picks and then we can use that for an o-linesman.

I can agree, but don't you think that age may be a factor? wont you want the younger guy as opposed to the guy that is close to 30? With the decisions that have been made, LenDale White really wouldn't surprise me...

lets put it like this, if bush was drafted number 1 , he would have gotten a bigger contract than Ladainan Tomlinson who is the premier back in this league and is still very young.

and giving it to a rookie who has never played a down. who is slightly underzied. i love bush to death and think he will be a good one, but its a big risk giving him the biggest contract for his position without ever playing a down.

Yes.. I agree. Pay $54 million for unproven DE that had less than consistent career, highlighted by plays against weak opponents in a mediocre program.

Sounds like another Babin. or another overated Buch.
