Trade for Saints #2

Eyeguy

Waterboy
Would we be willing to trade Carr, D. Robbins and #66 (saints 3rd rounder from '05) for Saints #2?
Then draft Young and Bush!

Actually I heard this topic come up on 610 radio this evening, or was it 790?? Anywho...They were saying that the saints as well as the titans could be lookin QB...having said that they were saying that if we got Vince young, then one of the teams lookin QB could possibly be interested in Carr...Of course we would have to trade Carr, and probably some picks and maybe DD or some kind of combo ...But if any trade involves our best defensive player..D-Rob, then it has to be out of the question...even if it means picking up Bush

With Cutler making such a good showing at the senior bowl.. I doubt that NO or Tennessee would be interested. Even if we take Young, Lienart and Cutler will be available.

Wow a thread about getting both VY and Bush. What the hell, why not draft Bush first, trade carr to NO with DD and both our 3rd rounders and pick up VY, trade Dunta, ou second this year and first and second next year adn move up to #3 and Draft Ferguson.

I couldnt do that on Madden. Maybe you could trade some of that crack too though.:ok:

In some fairy tail universe, like a video game, would taking both VY and Bush actually work. You can have VY and Bush, I'm standing behind Carr and DD. Experience is everything to taking this team to the next level. We don't need to burn another, what, 2-4 years molding key positions like that. Kubiak has a plan. He said his ultimate goal is a championship, not a rebuliding process. I'm really excited to see how it turns out no matter how much I may like it or dislike it.

Geeezz, what sort of drug induced world do these guys live in? They keep chanting " Must have Vince, Must Have Vince" and clicking those ruby slippers. Take some lithium and get to the real world. Vince isn't coming.

Both of my post were in the form of questions.

Owning 6 season tickets that cost almost $26K in PSL cost I want to see the team get the most for their draft picks. (see post" Are my calculations correct")

I have followed this site since it began. I just recently started posting for FUN. I have a life and look at the TEXANS and this site as entertainment. If I think it would be FUN to discuss the possiblity of having VY and R. Bush in the same backfield I see no reason to have someone accuse me of being on drugs.
I ask you respectfully to refrain from these type of statements in the future.

Thank you

dude can we swing a ricky williams too, and how about TO so young has someone to throw too. Ricky williams and bush thunder and lightning.

cough cough, damn this rock is rough

I'm glad you support the Texans to the tune of 26k, and that you are a fan who not only has that kind of money but supports the cause with it. That said, and drug jokes aside, it strikes me (and evidently others) odd that you would drop that kind of change on PSLs and yet you would demonstrate this kind of inherent lack of knowledge of the NFL.

We have a salary cap, and dealing Carr would cost us a substantial piece of that (there are about twenty threads on why). Trading D-Rob - and I assume you meant D. Robinson, cause I don't know who D. Robbins is - and after we cut Sharper and Glenn, at that ... could we do any more to cannabilize our already weak defense? No GM, anywhere at any time, would even consider the trade you have proposed. This is not a gray area, a maybe area, an "if the chips happened to fall our way" area ... this is a no-****ing-chance type of black and white area.

Your thread and the basis of what you are describing leads me to believe you are a guy with money to spare and a simple appreciation for the game of football. That is fine, and I hope you enjoy yourself. Not that this board is the epitome of wisdom and rational thinking, but I would encourage you to put a little more thought into your proposed trade scenarios, because what you were working with? That's about as far out of the box as you can possibly get.

And both those things are fine if they are true. I have learned tons from others on the MB over the past few years. There is plenty of sifting which has to be done to get down to the meat, but this MB should be a resource for Texan fans not just for news but for gaining knowledge and therefore having a greater appreciation for the team and the game.

I could see something like Carr, DD, and a high pick (2nd this year or 1st in 2007) enticing New Orleans, especially if Deuce's career is over due to that injury. Imagine if they have Lineart and Carr valued as roughly the same. Do you think they would rather have their future QB, potential starting RB, and another high selection or just a QB?

I proposed this thread as a QUESTION NOT A SUGGESTION in response to a statement I heard on 610 AM on 1/26. I had not heard this proposal before and thought it might be intresting and FUN to hear if there was anyone who would consider this trade.

I ONLY PROVIDE YOU WITH THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION TO REBUKE THAT I AM A " GUY WITH MONEY TO SPARE AND A SIMPLE APPRICATION OF THE GAME" and that I have an "INHERENT LACK OF NFL KNOWLEDGE"

I have seen every Texan home regular season game execpt one since there inception.
I was at their 1st game in Canton, OH, I saw the 1st win in N.O. and have seen 6 regular season games on the road.

My family was #6 on the season ticket register with the Oilers which we kept from 1960 untill their departure. At age 16 I bought my own season tickets with the money I made after school and kept them untill they left almost 20 later years. I am confident that I have seen more pro football games played in Houston than the majority of NFL fans in this city.

I also have season tickets to the Astros, Rockets, and HLS&R. I supporte many of these organizations charities as well.

In the past I have served on the medical staff of the Astros, Rockets, Aeros and Comets.

I along with partners started one of the top sports bars in Houston ( if you have been to an Astros or Rockets game you have probably had a drink at one of our bars, Thanks)

I realize that there are many people who read this board that have a much greater knowledge of the Texans than I do. I would however venture to say that I have alot more at stake than the fan " with a simple apprication" of the game.

I think the Texans are in their current position because of our poor drafting and more importantly poor draft day trades.

As for my preferences:

Trade with Jets our #1
get #4, #36, #68 and "07 Jets 1st round pick (see '04 SD & NYG)

Trade #68 for a '07 2nd rounder

Texans would have: '06
#4, 33, 36, 65 & 66
'07
(2) #1's
(2) #2's

Pick up OT, TE, OG, LB, DB or maybe DL( if we go to 4/3) between #4 and 66

I question no ones knowledge, commitment, or opinion. I thank you for your response to the thread and I must say that the initial intent to stimulate discussion from asking a QUESTION has been achieved.
Hope to see you at the games and GO TEXANS.

By the way, I have never met a good businessman with "MONEY TO SPARE"

there may be more than crack involved...this sort of delusion can only be caused by some sort of fever. Bird flu?

The Texans could call up the saints and see how interested they are in david carr, and if they are interested the texans could draft reggie bush, the saints could draft vince young, then trade vince young for david carr. what would u people think about that?
