Trade back with New Engaland ??

If we could get a trade back with NE it could be good for us. New England has 3 second round picks. Our # 20 pick is worth 850 pts. If we traded with the Pats we could get their #42 (480 pts.) and their # 54 (360 pts) making a total of 840 pts. Throw in their 6th rd. # 197 and it is worth 12.7 making 852.7 pts. Equal trade! If we did this is the Draft I would like to see
RD 2
#42 Patrick Robinson (CB) FSU 5'11 194 4.40
#51 Jahvid Best (RB) Cal. 5'10 195 4.35
#54 Sean Weatherspoon (OLB) Mizzu. 6'1 232 4.60
RD 3
#82 John Jerry (OG) Miss 6'5 348 5.60
RD 4
#120 Linval Joseph (DT) E.Car 6'6 322 5.30
RD 5
#155 Eric Olsen (OG) N.D. 6'5 300
#164(SD) Robert Johson (S) Utah 6'3 190 4.75
RD 6
#193 Joique Bell (RB) Wayne 6'1 223 4.55
#197 John Skelton (QB) Fordham 6'5 258 4.90
RD 7
#234 Kevin Haslam (OT) Rutgers 6'7 295 5.30

Thats 10 picks that we could make hay with. One can dream can't he.

I don't think the Pats are known for trading up. They move around a lot, but it's usually backwards while raking in more picks.

Even if we did this it would be a complete waste to turn around and use those picks on Robinson and Best. Also, Weatherspoon will not be available in the 2nd round. He's going in the 1st.

Why would the pats do this?

The Pats are also in the business of raping teams for draft picks. Not giving out fair deals.

Agreed. if anything the wolf in New England does the opposite. He'll move back for picks and pick every ones pocket while they are still scratch their rear end and wondering who goosed them.

What I could see happening is if there is a run on the top OLTs and someone at the top of the second gets nervous.

#82 John Jerry (OG) Miss 6'5 348 5.60

Ah no. they won't do that. No offense Old Miss. Jerry as is Mike Johnson, are in the box power o guys. We don't do that. We combo block get to the second level and knock faster, quicker guys in the dirt.

Or ....at least that's the theory.

:spit: Exactly. You think I want the Texans getting involved in any negotiations with the Patriots? They've been raping people on deals the last few seasons. I don't want Rick Smith within 50 feet of the the Pats GM or BB. No thanks to anything they offer as far as picks are concerned.

I could see the Pats trading back like they do, or sitting tight and taking a linebacker or TE.

Trading up is not their MO but I would not be surprised if they did. Maybe a Dan Williams or Derrick Morgan.

I can see the Pats stayin put and grabbing Brandon Graham from Michigan. The dude showed some awesome speed around the egde at the SB.
