4. Carr
5. Walker

*Honorable mention to Moran Norris*

1. DCarr
2. DRobinson
3. AJohnson
4. DFaggins
5. RSmith

Bob McNair would have been #1, but he's not a player
Casserly would be pretty high and so would Capers

1. D-Rob
2. Carr
3. AJ
4. DD
5. Starling (I know I am going to get ripped for that one but I like the way he goes all out every play, even when he ran into his own plyer trying to setup a block on the reverse)

1) Dunta Robinson
2)David Carr
3)Andre Johnson
4)Glenn Earl (Im a Notre Dame fan been following him since he was there)
5)DD

Robinson - do I have to explain why... one word, Playmaker.
Peek - Diamond in the rough
Babin - Maybe not a 'play maker' , but consistantly good. He is quiet, but will stop ya.
AJ - I debated about if AJ or Babin first, humble and let his play do the talking for him. Outstanding player.
Wells - I know... I have to explain this one. I sent Wells 3 football cards to sign (one for each of my sons) as well with about 1/2 the team. Wells and a few nameless others was the only one to sign all three, and send them back to me. Character speaks volumes to me. In addition, Wells to me didnt get a fair shake imo and has done MUCH better with the new O-line scheme when he gets the ball. Now he is possibilty changing to FB. Sounds like a team player to me.

My number 6 would be DD.
My number 7 would be Carr. I like Carr, dont get me wrong. I just dont like alot of his disicions and dont like his placement on passes that much. He has a gun for sure.

1. AJ - everyone I've met, his agent, teammates, various others all say he's very nice and the opposite off the field (quiet)...because we know he makes A LOT of noise on the field (in the way of big plays). Great work ethic, too.

2. Carr - Also said to be an extremely nice person off the field. Shows good leadership and work ethic.

3. D-Rob - He just straight-up get's the job DONE!

4. Wells - Like others have said, he seems to be willing to do whatever it takes to contribute to the team. Great attitude.

5. Jason Bell - I know, I know..."who?". But since the day we got him (before our pre-season with Dallas...from Dallas) he has been my favorite guy on special teams. An AWESOME gunner! Wish showed up more on D.

1. Andre Johnson - A hundred reasons to like him, zero to not.

2. Dunta Robinson - Playmaker, who loves the game.

3. Domanick Davis - Gives 110% everyday.

4. David Carr - Leader, young, and fun to root for.

5. Marcus Coleman - 102 yard interception. Wow.

1. AJ
2. DAVIS
3. ROBINSON
4. PEEK
5. COLEMAN

Its amazing to see how many fans like PEEK, its beautiful. This guy just plays hard, I love it. I can't wait to see him play all year.

1. D-Rob
2. A.J.
3. Carr
4. Faggins (worked his way up from the practice squad)
5. Jason Simmons (guy hits like a truck and is a team player)

I have my second top five favorites.

Kailee Wong (used to be JMoses)

next faves...

Pitts
the Wonger
Wand (won me over by the end of last season)
Gaffney
Carr (obligitory QB, the attention whores of football :heh: )

and finally...

the rest of the roster!!! wouldn't change a thing because of our unique and wonderful football situation here in h-town! thank you for a home team to root for Bobby 'ol boy, and thank you for CC and the dominator!

5. Chester Pitts - has started every game for the Texans and continues to improve with every snap.
4. Marcus Coleman - A team leader and a team guy. Willing to do whatever he has to do to help the team win.
3. Dominik Davis - a long shot that has made it. Very versitale and consistant.
2. Daunta Robinson - A ball hawk. Never takes a play off. Hits like Ronnie Lott.
1. David Carr - The leader of our team. Passionate for the game. The team will live or die by this man's decissions.

Just to add a little spice to the discussion, I am going to list my 5 favorite former players, then current guys..

Former Players:
1) Aaron Glenn - great player, great person, great leader, consummate pro
2) Jamie Sharper - Good player, good person, founding team member
3) JJ Moses - Got the most out of his god-given ability, and wonderful man
4) Jeff Posey - Our only real pass rush guy. I loved saying ring around the Posey on every sack.
5) Tony Boselli - Ok, I know he never played, but I thought he carried himself tremdousely well, and was a great pro when healthy.

Current Players:
1) Andre Johnson - Can do it all, and getting better. Fine man as well as great player
2)Dunta Robinson - See Andre Johnson
3)David Carr - The fearless leader comes into his own in 2005 (fingers crossed)
4) Seth Payne - A Pro's Pro. There isn't a more solid citizen on the team, and a true leader. When healthy, he can bring the Payne!
5) Antwaan Peek - Another guy who comes into his own in 2005 (toes crossed)

1. David Carr the man and the football player just reak of passion and class.
2. A.J. the anti Randy Moss (all the talent none of the bad attitude).
3. D.D. was'nt even really supposed to be a good pro turned out to be a great story as well as a very good player.
4. Peek every time he's on the feild he shows the rest of the team how your SUPPOSED to play every down with passion.
5. D-Rob best young cb in the league bar none (sorry P-Buc) and fits into the Texans mold of class, respect and abilities.
^. I know you said top 5 players and he is neither but.......MR. MCNAIR The man who brought football back to the real heart of texas and put as much emphasis on quality people and football players instead of the bottom line.

Are you by chance...JJ Moses?
No and I'm not saying they should not have cut him. However he was a quality person, Herepresented the Texans on and off the field very well and he eas consistant. None of these things will assure he is successful in the league but it does make him a fan favorite.

5. kris brown
4. tony banks
3. d-rob
2. glenn earl
1. jason babin

1. Bob McNair (Without him there would be none)

its almost the same list recycled in a diffrent order over and over again...i expected diffrent. and im surprised more people dont think highly of banks.

Hulk75 Are there any Robaire Fans out there?

Im a fan of every player on the Texans, however Robaire has yet to prove himself as of yet to me. I'm very excited to see how much he has improved over the offseason.

Here's a second list of my favorite players that werent starters last season.
5. Tony Banks - always did a solid job when subbing in for Mr. Carr.
4. Johnathan Wells - a beast on special teams and impressed me when filling in for Davis
3. Jerry DeLoach - Seems to get better and better. He stood strong when filling in for Payne.
2. Damarcus Faggins - went from unknown to one of the best players in the secondary. Has a great passion for the game.
1. Antwan Peek - everything that needs to be said about him has already been said..... nuff said?
