12 slots left one of which will be the Texans pick. Lets just look @ who will be available? will break it down by position so easier for your viewing pleasure. First 20 prospects are locks to be first round selections, regardless which team takes who & where. Let me know what you guys think? Does breaking it down this way make it easier?

21-32:

WR - Robert Woods, Terrance Williams,
OC - Barrett Jones
OG - Jonathan Cooper
DE/OLB - Ezekiel Ansah, Dion Jordan, Alex Okafor
DT - Jesse Williams,
ILB - Alec Ogletree
CB - Johnathan Banks, Xavier Rhodes
SS - Matt Elam

Borderline/Early 2nd:

QB - Tyler Wilson, Mike Glennon
WR - Tavon Austin,Cordarrelle Patterson
OT - DJ Flucker
DE/OLB - Sam Montgomery, Chase Thomas, Kyle Van Noy
DT - Kawaan Short, Sharrif Floyd
CB - David Amerson,
SS - Kenny Vaccaro
FS - Eric Reed, Phillip Thomas

Just to point out obvious, there are three groups that really stand out where Texans are projected to pick. DE/OLB with 6, WR with 5 & Saftey 4. Being so tightly bunched, free agency will have a lot to say about who they draft & could WR actually be BPA for a change?

You have Wilson going to the Jets in the first.

curious what people think about this early first round projection. fairly quick attempt, combination of need & bpa. haven't really formulated a concrete list of best player available yet, that will come shortly after combine through pro days. sorry about Minter pick, that just kinda looks how it falls this point. there are also some pretty good prospects not listed who could sneak in there. overall with underclassman included this is a pretty good draft crop, a lot of teams should really help themselves :tiphat:

I really hope Damontre Moore doesn't go to the Lions. I want to be able to root for Aggies after they graduate, but many sites have him slotted in there at #5 overall. I really don't like the players on that team, so I could never root for him :(

As for the draft, I like a lot of the picks and the way they fall. I like Jones for the Browns, they need a lot of pass rush help and they are switching to a 3-4. I can see Jones as an OLB pass rusher, much like Von Miller.

Mingo to the Giants is sick. With Umenyiora being a free agent, he would be an awesome replacement.

Minter to the Texans seems to be the current consensus. I personally think we will go WR or O-line with our first pick. I think Kubiak is gonna make a lot of the picks this year to fix the offense.

I think Lewan decided to go back to school. Also, I think Ansah and Floyd will go higher.

Yep

I think that if he's still there, (Which I've got my doubts) Fisher to the Cards at 7. I dont see Barkley going that high.

Oakland could trade back into the bottom third of the 1st rd and take Barkley though. I could see #3 Joeckel and Barkley to Oakland after a trade in the 27-32 range.

In fact if Oakland wanted to trade their 2nd and 4th rd picks to the Texans at 27, I would be on board with that.

I think we are sitting at a good spot for teams that want to move up and grab a QB. There is only a few players that I would turn an offer like that down for.

I think Barkley will be a better pro than Sanchez, Leinart or Geno Smith. His draft stock will rise, just how much is anyone's guess?

I seriously can't see Hopkins and Allen being the only two WR's drafted in the first round. If they are then my goodness, we would have a feast to fill our bellies in round 2.

I don't get the vaccaro hype at all. There ate lower rated safeties that look much better to me. IMO swearinger is an all around better player than vaccaro.

Watch the raiders take Ansah at 3!!!
Dont understand all the hype with Jesse Williams, NT, Alabama. He is a one dimensional player and not a dominant one at that. late second at best. I can see him lasting till the third round easily.

Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida I'm sure he will go in the first but I just don't see it. Reminds me of Travis Johnson. Remember him?

Kenny Vaccaro, FS, Texas just don't see him going in the first. I could see him being the 4th safety taken.

Barrett Jones, C/G, Alabama I loved this guy two years ago. Really wanted him to come out so we could draft him. But now I just don't know if he's worth a first with all the injuries he has had. It will really depend on how he checks out with the doctor.

Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame I think Minter is more physical and defiantly better against the run but I would consider taking Teo over him because his skill set may be a better fit next to Cushing.
