Titans might be stronger than you think!

Here is a link to the Titans Draft Situation. It appears they will have 10 draft picks. I guess we could wish we were in that position. They may wind up being stronger than many of you think and they do have a QB who can pressure any team. I still believe if we don't fix our O-line we will be at the bottom looking up and saying what happened. In addition they have good coaching. Remember, those games were close. If we don't improve, we could be the doormat. I just don't believe we have made progress in any way so far. I'm very scepticle that we really do have any kind of a plan. Many of you obviously feel differently, but I think what we have seen so far is real scarey. I hope I'm wrong.

I don't think there is any doubt the Titans are rebuilding but they have a very good coach and if they draft well they can replace some of the players they lost.

If McNair is healthy he's always a threat...but what will the offense be like around him?

They are just a big question mark and I don't expect them to have much of a season compared to their recent past.

I have faith that many of our younger players will improve and I think that is the step we have on the Titans. They have a few significant young guys like Chris Brown but to be honest most of their leftovers are still older and at their peak (even if they are good)

I think people are putting too much stock in the offseason free-agency improvement and not taking into account how Carr, Davis, Johnson, Robinson, Babin, Wand, and Earl (and not to mention which rookies we draft) who could have an extremely significant impact on how our team does next season,

Just think of how everyone predicted the Chargers to be the doormat, how Brees was a bust and LT was just wasting their time, and you will learn to wait for the eggs to hatch before calling them omelletes.

Of course I am kind of drunk but I think I'm making a lot of sense personally.

From reading your posts, I think you have one of those half -empty outlooks. Let me see, on defense;they let go their 2 starting CBs( Dyson hasnt signed anywhere ...why?...is he asking too much,,,'Skins are talking to him.) They didn't bring in any special FA because of their cap problems. So even if they have many picks to fill their holes( even if they do a fantastic job), those players are going to be very young. It maybe a couple of years before they are up to same playoff level . This is probably McNair's last year. To say we are going to be the doormat of the division is being very cynical (negative). IMO, the Texans are a team on the rise. We were a 7-9 team ,easily could have 9-7 with some better play in certain situations, i.e. Vikings and Packers game. Our OL will get better with more experience playing together. Still ,I hope we will draft a C and OG to eventually replace McKinney and Weigert. Our younger players will get better. Let's see who the Texans draft this Saturday. Doormat? No Way! Wild Card? Sure! Texans! Up...UP..Away!

The O-line is my biggest gripe right now and if that's not addressed in the draft, then I think we can be the door mat in our conference. Again, what I'm arguing is a lot of people think we will easily take two from the Titans this year and I think that's a poor bet given the personnel changes we have made so far. The same could be said for the Colts and Jaguars. We have not done very well playing outside of our conference. Could the draft make us a lot better, certainly, but it might not. I think this might be the most critical draft of this team's existance. I think this draft makes or breaks this team, pure and simple. It doesn't matter whether you talk about offense or defense, we have a lot of needs. Casserly has a very tough job to do in the up coming draft. I think it is going to require all his wisdom and then some for him to make the right decisions. It will be a thankless job.

I've never heard anybody, anywhere say LT was just was just wasting their time whatever that means...it must be the drunk thing because since he's been in the league he's been sensational.

The Titans will be rebuilding but in this day if you draft well and are well coached you can rebuild fairly quickly...I will be surprised if they are even a .500 team this year but that's to be played out.

My first thought when I read that statement was "Is that all?" Do you realize that the Titans released, traded, or did not resign 17 players so far this offseason from last years roster. The Titans have only 51 players currently signed, including 10 street free agents. They have a grand total of 3 WRs. And you're worried about these guys?

Don't become the boy who cried "Titans".

Are we 100% sure that Ibar and Wonger aren't the same person? I would like to see one positive post from ethier of them. :listening

Oops, what I meant was LT was wasting his own time (being on the losing Chargers). And really I never heard anyone say that either, I think I was just drunk and probably making things up while hoping they would make sense. (apparently failed that objective)

I'm quite capable of making positive comments, but the Texans usually find a way to burn you when you do with misinformation. Right now, there is a big positive in that they say BJ is healthy. Is that fact, fiction or smoke? I hope he is healthy, because he could really help us a great deal. The best rated TE in the draft has similar problems that BJ has and I don't believe he has the skills that BJ has. Therefore if BJ is healthy and able to play, it would be like signing a number 1 TE draft pick who's better than any TE on the board. What makes me nervous, however, is that Texans have been less than candid concerning the health of players before. BJ could make a very big difference. He can block and he has great hands. We don't have to switch players with BJ regardless of the play. That would be an extemely big plus for our team.

Okie dokie..you threw me for a loop there. I wasn't sure what you meant and sometimes my reading comprehension is lacking...anyway LT is great and I think he's the best back in the NFL...he's just that good.

To me, this is just a demonstration of an utter lack of understanding of the NFL. I mean really, you think the fact the Titans are going to have 10 instead of 8 draft picks is going to make a difference? You think them possibly starting more rookies is a positive thing? HELLOOOO--starting rookies is a bad thing generally. By your theory a team with 53 draft picks would win the superbowl. Ummm, pop quiz, who is the healthier, better team--one that drafts 15 guys and starts 5 of them or one that drafts 5 and starts none of them. I'm going with (b). Of course you will say the Texans' coaching staff and I should be fired.

A little feedback on McNair.

If he's healthy and fast that's going to be bad news for a lot of teams. Some of you feel like we have two automatic wins from this team. I think we are in for a contest in every game. I think we will at most break even with the Titans. Our conference is tough. I don't think you can ever count a win as a certainty against a McNair QBed team. The guy is awfully good and has an unbelievable desire to win. That makes him a tough hombre to beat.

I believe we will split even in the division. As for the Titans 10 picks, I think it will serve them well for the future but nothing immediate.

I think the Titans will have a to 5 pick next year give them a few years to develop all of their 10 draft picks and some of their 35 UDFA. LOL maybe 5 years... LOL Bud deserves that
