Titans have 5th and 18th picks in first round.

2017 Astros: Earn It!
The Tennessee Titans had a 9-7 season just like we did, but while we get ready for the playoffs they are sitting at home or on vacation, positioned quite nicely for the upcoming 2017 NFL Draft.

They ended up with the 18th overall pick plus the 5th overall pick that they own from the Los Angeles Rams. That's two valuable picks that they own in the first round.

What will the Titans likely do with those two picks? Or do you think they may try to trade up? Doubtful. Drafting two good players at 5 and 18 in the first round seems more appealing than trying to trade up.

Are the Titans our biggest threat in the AFC South next year and beyond? They also have a softer schedule than us in 2017. While the Texans were given a first-place schedule which will include four tough road games at New England, at Seattle, at Baltimore and at Cincinnati.

Or am I worried about nothing? The Houston Texans are the playoff team and AFC South division champions for back-to-back years! Not the Tennessee Titans. And plus you never know what can happen. Some tough looking games on our schedule may not be so tough when we play them. And the Titans may draft two busts with those picks for all we know.

The Titans need a receiver and they have needs on defense. I'd expect them to take a defensive guy at 5. It's hard to say what they'll target past that.

They've done a nice job with their team. They built a good OL and they've found their QB. That team is only a few draft and free agent hits away from being contenders IMO. We will need to have an excellent offseason if we expect to keep pace with them again next year.

Indy will fire Pagano which most likely means they get better immediately. An offseason in which they address their OL and DL would put them in a great position to contend.

The Jags have been talented on paper for awhile and with better coaching will be a much tougher team to play than they have been.

This division is very close to not being the easy cakewalk we've enjoyed lately.

I believe if the Texans cared, they would have won that week 17 game. Titans finish at 8-8, Texans 10-6, while undefeated in the division.

I think ALL the teams in the division are trending up.
