Tired of the Crybaby Fans on here....

Yes.. your right Vinny.. I know it now.

I hate the losses, I hate the bad play.

But you have shown me what I am most embarrassed about being a Texans fan, is its fan base. Thank you. I thought spitting on David Carr's family was classless. I guess it is only the start. I used to have pride to be called a Texans fan, till you all have shown your true selves.
The fan base didn't spit on the Carr family...some moron did.

Fans will vent with an awful team and morons are morons. You just have to seperate the two. I'm as frustrated as anyone as I think we are a laughing stock team....it's not easy being a Texans fan right now.

It's the mentality of Houston sports fans in general, it's disgusting.

The worst football team I have rooted for:
1972: After being blowout in their first 2 games the Oilers stun the New York Jets 26-20 at the Astrodome. However, the win would end up being the only win on the season, as the Oilers finish with a miserable 1-13 record, while being outscored an embarrassing 380-164 on the season.

1973
: To say the Oilers season was miserable would be an understatement, as Coach Bill Peterson is fired after a 0-5 start. The Oilers whose record under Peterson was a humiliating 1-18, would be the led the rest of the season by Hall of Fame Coach Sid Gilman. However, not even Gilman could help, as the Oilers lost their next 2 before beating the Colts 31-27 in Baltimore for their only win of the season, as the finished the season with a 1-13 record, being outscored 447-199 on the season.
:cowboy1:

I never expected to see this sorry of a performance, and really didn't expect it three weeks in a row! We have MAJOR problems on defense and have serious problems stopping teams on 3rd down. Look how many times the Colts had to punt... Once.

Myself... I'll always be a Texans fan but we all have rights to complain, whine, cry, drink...

Anyway these are obviously the rough times and we'll have to live them together. And remember it can always get worse.

Also I'll be on the board weekly, complaining or not, even if we go 0-16.

Why don't all of you stop cluckin and groanin. :chicken:

Sheesh you would think this is life or better yet your entire life. Oh wait it is for quite a lot of you.

Look its a friggin football game meant to pass the time on Sunday. You get to tailgate, enjoy your friends, drink, have some good food and watch a game.

Who the hell cares who wins or loses. If we do hell all the more better, if we don't oh well I had a damn good day and I wasn't in the office, living in a third world country looking for my next meal or being bombed or worring about when a bomb might go off around me.

Bunch of whiny asses.

B

Dude... go get drunk and hang with your friends then.

Thats a great way to look at it by the way. It doesnt matter if we win or lose..just be happy that you arent being blown up in a third world country.

BTW.. its called "being competitive". People like to win.. they want the bragging rights..they want the respect..they want a reason to yell and cheer and be proud of thier city and thier team. Some people are not content simply to get drunk and sit with thier friends. I dont need to watch a football game to do that.

I am now officially rooting for the crybaby fans more than I am the team itself. They have a right to cry all week.

I was in the stands for games in both of those seasons.

Mr B.,

I like it! So what your saying is the only thing worse than going to the Texans game is being blown to pieces in an explosion in a 3rd world country. Nice!

I'm past sick and tired of hearing people whine on this messageboard about our team. If you're so fairweather go be a cowgirl fan.

1) One player does not make the entire team. M. Williams by himself is not going to make our Defense into the 85 bears.

2) We have a NEW coaching staff. Players have to learn these systems. Have you ever taken the time to see what a NFL playbook looks like?

3) Rome was not built in a day. So few of you crybabies take the time to look at the progress we are making in any area.

These are NOT excuses but I'm so tired of you crybabies acting like Kubes was suppose to come in and we were going 19-0. The team believes in him and I do too. No coach comes in with a team this young. We are starting more rookies than anyone else.

Those of us that are sticking by the team through the bad times and growing periods will be the ones who will TRULY enjoy when things get great around here. Of course all you crybabies will come back saying you knew it all along. Yea right.

To the REAL TEXANS Fans continue to hold steady and keep the Texan Faith.
To the football gods we say. AMEN.

OK, here's the deal--the 'cry babies' quit crying and the :homer: 's quit listing their excuses in every post...done deal?

what,, you think the team was going to the superbowl after a 2 and 14 year. If we have THREE wins are an improvement over the former year. And we are developing upcoming stars. This isnt our year so far.. move on. What you SHOULD be looking for is improvement in players. which means improvement for team.

Super Bowl??? When do we get just a little 'smudgeon' of that improvement you're 'whinning' about?

Yes, we need to stick by our Texans and encourage them. But that doesn't mean we don't tell the truth as we see it. Fans and team's have a give and take relationship. It's not about being Stepford fans. We shouldn't be expected to lap up whatever scraps come our way.

As to your points:
1) First Williams was drafted to make a big difference - hence the big bucks. But also we are not asking that this team be the 85 Bears - just don't let an average QB break a record in passing completions against them.

2) There are many new coaches this season and most (discount Art Shell) are doing pretty well.

3) Please list the progress we have made. Besides that point, the fans have a right to look at all the recent seasons in assessing progress. If not, we could have a new coach each year and never expect progress.

I love the Texans. I love Bob McNair. I love David Carr. Mario Williams I will say seems like a great guy. This isn't about hating on people (at least I think for most fans), it's just about being passionate caring fans.

Its my team and I will cry if I want to.

To all the fans out there who think that all the teams problems are a result of the complaining fans,
To all the fans out there who think that if you complaing about the team, you aren't a true fan,
To all the fans out there who complain about complainers,
To all the fans out there continuously making excuses for the team,

Please stop! Let me get one thing straight into your head--The Texans are AWFUL! We would not be watching the games, buying the tickets, posting on messageboards, buying the jerseys if WE WEREN'T FANS. It takes a true fan to continue to watch the games and complain on the messageboards when the team is this bad. If we weren't fans, we would have quit caring long ago.

Sure you can tell me that all those things don't make a fan, and its only the ones who believe in the team from day 1 even when they are doing awful that are the real fans, but guess what, I don't care! This team sucks right now, and if you still "believe" in the them and want to condemn me for not believing in them right now than thats fine. If they turn it around, I'll be ecstatic. But until I see SOME sign of hope, I will continue to believe they suck.

Heres how I feel --- If you still check this messageboard, attend games, cheer for the Texans after 5 years of sucking with no end in sight, you are a real fan, and don't let the "super" fans on their soapboxes get you down!

Go Texans!

PS: I realize that I'm effectively complaining about people complaining about people complaining :tease:
