The real question.

The question everyone needs to be asking is can the O-line be fixed without the 1st overall pick. or a first rounder. I happen to think so.

1. Most top rated o-lineman have about a year or so before they can contribute so anyone we drafted to play left tackle will be not much better than Pitts for a year or so.

2. With a tackle heavy draft value could be found near the bottom of the first top of the second round.

so really the question comes can the offensive line (since thats our biggest problem on offense) be fixed without the first pick we get in the draft. i haPPEN to think so. thus splurge on that first pick with Bush and spend the next few picks on that line.

Finally DD has proven he is too hurt to be an everydown back. He can't stay on the field., who cares how good he is if he isn't out there. He is a jonathan Bender

You kind of answered the question in regards to trading down. It is Tackle heavy. We can get the best one up top while picking up more picks to help are other deficiensies. RB is not one of them.

how can you call RB not a deficiency when our backs can't stay on the field and hasn't been healthy for an entire season his entire career.

Easy... we have Wells, Morency and DD. If we cant put up #s with these guys rotating them around if need be, then we have serious problems. We haven't seen DD for a full season because it seems like we are too scared to take him off the field for a few plays and use one of our back-ups. With more rest off the field during games he'd probably last longer and produce more...but wait, that's logical so it will never ever happen with anyone who's involved in this franchise atm...
