Seems like a long time ago when we played and beat Dallas. Dallas had a lot of problems and I said that Campo was toast and would be gone by the end of the season. He was not a leader and Parcells came on and the same team basically began to turn itself around. The same is true here. Coaching has screwed our team up so bad it is beyound belief. There is no heart or confidence among the players on this team. Is David having problems? Yes, he is but a good part of that is a confused coaching staff making inept play calls and running a hopeless offense and defense. If you remember, some key defensive players were quoted as "just let us play". This team has been mico managed to the point they are paralyzed. Anybody playing for this team would look like Carr has and would act like Carr after the relentless pounding he has taken. Can he ever be a great QB now? I don't know because the season's have certainly taken their toll and time is certainly running out.
I sometimes wonder if Mr. McNair is just as much at fault. Does he want to maximize his profit or does he want a football team? So far, it looks like the former. He has taken the excuses going on 4 years now and his only utterences have been blatenlly ignored by the GM and the coaching staff. When the coaches were criticized by experienced professeonals they were fired. I'm going to even go out on a limb and say Mr. B did not continue to help the development of the O-line because of differences with the coahes and their coaching philosophy. Every day that this coaching staff remains in place results in a sicker Texans team. Its a shame, because this is a ball club with a lot of talent which can't rise to the top. The cream is souring and sinking to the bottom and there is a foul oder imminating from the bottle.
