There are a few team boards that I visit from time to time, just to see what's up. One of the things I look at are how other fans react to certain situations. The Miami Dolphins have been struggling with mediocrity for a while, similar to us. This year, they had a chance to "finally" get into the play-offs, but that loss to Baltimore takes their destiny out of their hands.

Still, they've got New England, Minnesota, & the Jets left to play, there's still a chance. Personally, I wouldn't have given up hope just yet. Most likely they won't beat New England, but they've at least got to play the game right? After that game, then I'd say it's over.

For me it's the same here, let's see what happens next week. I have no illusions about what might happen. We might win, we might lose. If we win, there's still hope. If we lose, less so.

Their situation is different from ours, in that our HC is a rookie. Their's has been there a few years. But they haven't even established a winning tradition & Phillbin just might make it happen this season.

He's our Kubiak, I know. But in my opinion, this is what they have to go through to get to the point where they can contend for their division.

What do you think, are they over-reacting? Is it time to part ways with Philbin?

Is Ireland still the GM there? His 2012 spending spree might catch them in 2015; but at least they have the 5th year option on Tannehill for 2016 if needed. Their new OC seems to have the offense moving better than last year's when they had Sherman. Tannehill is improving; but probably not at the rate they would like. They have quietly replaced that OL with good players, losing Albert to IR was a big blow. I think they should stick with Philbin for at least another year. Their defense is really good, just missing a piece of two on the offensive side of the ball.

They do have some key players on IR: Albert, Moreno, Ellerbe, and now Delmas

I'd be a lot more positive if I was a Dolphin fan. But their playoff hopes are on life-support.

They HAVE to beat the Patriots in New England to have a realistic hope of making it into the playoffs and they have to win out: @Patriots, Vikings, Jets. They could lose any or all of those games.

I wouldn't want any part of the Vikings the way they are playing lately. Looks like the Dolphins will finish 7-9 or 8-8. The Jets could play hard in one more game this season.
