The Good News Is...

Matt Leinart will be available when we have the first pick in the draft next year. We heard all the talk about how the team didn't show all their stuff because it was pre-season, well somebody should tell the guys that the regular season has started. When we draft Matt next year, we need a new offensive coordinator as well. Somebody please tell me when and where Chris Palmer has been successful as a coordinator in the NFL, not a QB coach. Just because he may have had some success as a QB coach in the past doesn't mean he can manage a game as we have seen these past 3 years. Corey Bradford, all talk. O-Line, a career mediocre right tackle is our opening day starter at left tackle, go figure. Defense did as good as can be expected with the way the offense didn't let them get any rest, but, in 2 years, Jason Babin will not be a starting OLB for this team.

Babin is a bust. That's all I'll say about that. Another wonderful personell desicion.

AS to Palmer, you might want to rethink your appraisal, as he had some great offenses in Jax.

I'll give him 2 successful seasons in Jax, but I still think he's better as a position coach ie. QB or WR than O coor. In Jax, if I remember correctly they used to throw the ball up and down the field, what happened? Did Boselli have that big of an impact? I dont know, maybe its a combination of the line and the WR's(except Johnson). I'm just frustrated because I let myself get caught up in the its just preseason hype.

Babin shows no improvement over last year thus far. They say you make the biggest improvement between years 1 and 2. Somebody forgot to tell him.

The entire linebacking crew is mediocre at best, and I'm being extremely liberal with that opinion. Honestly, I think they either have heart and no talent, or talent and no heart, or heart and talent but no brains. Any which way, they are stinking up the joint at the moment.

Please no more 1st pick QBs from California. To soft and to expensive. Lets load up on the line, TE and WR next year.

No argument from me on that one. I think Carr either makes bad decisions at times, or he is still has a quick trigger due to the effects of that first season sack fest. If its the latter, I can't blame him for not being confident in the o line, I know I wouldn't be.

Gonna bring his SC offensive line with him? Gotta be better than the bunch we have!

I could'nt find a "hit the nail on the head" smiley, but I agree.

BTW, here is a depiction of the Bills offense vs. our Defense yesterday.

What exactly did Babin do wrong yesterday??? I saw a great push by Peek and Babin on the outside, but the D-line was unable to get any pressure so Losman so he had a place to step up and release the ball.

He didn't really do anything wrong, he just really didn't do.........anything. That can not be said about the outside linebackers of a good 3-4 defense.

The big push the the outside linebackers got, was not near big enough to be successful or even disruptive. :twocents:

I saw push by Peek yesterday and I saw Babin getting PUSHED.

However, they made great dancing partners! :heh:

The sad part is that our mediocre defense yesterday was the BEST part of our team. :crying:

I guess we didn't, I even saw Peek make plays on Babin's side of the field. I'm not saying Peek dominated, but he definately played better than Babin. Not just speaking of stats, but also man on man, Peek played better and if his hands were softer, he could have been a hero.

and babin made plays on the other side.

i dont get this whole side thing, if peek forces the ball carrier inside and babin is coming from the backside and gets the tackle, why do you blame peek? or babin for that matter?

all of our LBs could have played a little better but im VERY far from saying babin is a bust. his strength right now might be against the run but that doesnt mean he cant help collapse the pocket and make plays

Peek also lost containment on more than a few run plays in the 2nd half...

Matt Leinart? We could draft the reincarnation of Joe Montana next season and ruin his career, same as Carr. Matt Leinart?
