The.Brand0n's Early 7 Round Mock

Round 1: RB Reggie Bush USC
Take off the Burnt Orange sunglasses, Bush in 06'.
Round 2: OT Marcus McNeil Auburn
This is who I WANT to be available... but Colledge, Jean Giles, Scott are all possibilites as well.
Round 3a: CB DeMario Minter Georgia
Fast, hard hitting CB. Someone who Dunta will welcome with open arms.
Round 3b: TE Anthony Fasano Notre Dame
Had a hard choice with him and Byrd talent wise, but Byrd has a history of injuries and I seperated us as far away from injury prone TE's as possible.
Round 4: WR Skyler Green LSU
Blazing fast WR (4.32), who I WANT to be here when we select. Andre, Skyler and Jerome ... who can catch them?
Round 5: DE Copeland Bryan Arizona
Diamond in the Rough in the Pac-10. I watched him, impressed me everytime, made plays even with a seperated shoulder.
Round 6: OG Chris Chester Oklahoma
Under the radar guard. Good value from big time program.
Round:7: QB Marcus Vick Virginia Tech (dont wet your pants conservatives)
It's only a 7th rounder .... stop b*tching.

Would ya be upset with this crop in 06?

latest reports showing McNeil possibly going in the top 15. I mean he is the top RT in the draft you dont think he will really fall to the 2nd round. Dont you think that is wishful thinking. I actually have him going #9 to the lions.
Minter i have him going #49 to the Falcons. It is possible that he could fall but i doubt it. He is ranked as the 5th highest corner on my list. I think 3-4 could go in the 1st. Now Fasano i think its way to early for him. I have him going in the 6th or 7th round. I would like to see Tim Day come to the Texans. With Lewis and V Davis going in the 1st round the next 2 highest rated TE's are L. Pope and Tim Day. I dont expect too many TE's taken in the 2nd. Dont Forget Dominque Byrd hes rated way above Fasano. Skylar Green going in the 4th seems kinda high for him. Maybe Todd Watkins BYU, Mike Hass Oregon State, Travis Wilson Oklahoma or David Anderson Colorado State are all rated higher than him and are more of 4th round selections. I cant even find any info on a Copeland Bryan. So i dont know what to say here. Same with Chester i dont even see him on my draft board. Vick maybe i think he might go higher to a team that is willing to take a shot.

Nice Mock. The only questions I have, is, will McNeil play LT? Other wise we have Wade sitting on the bench, at an expensive price. I dont think i would pick another WR in this draft. Weve always had a good supply of them. The rest of the picks work, except Vick. I know its a 7th, but why not spend it on a player whos not a head case?

I must agree with everyone else. Marcus could end up pulling a gun on the team at the rate his is going at. He and Maurice Clarett should get together and work on starting a prison team. :)

I am not going to start on the argument of bush, and just take this pick for the sake of your argument.

I like taking the risk on vick, but he wont be there in the 7th. Skyler green is one of my favorite recievers but we do not need any more recievers. We also do not need a CB that early that I am assuming you are expecting to start. He will not beat out Buchanon, despite your obvious dislike for him. He could be a nickle, but latter round CB's can be used for that.

I actually havent heard too many reports on the other guys, but overall, this is a nice effort. However, it would barely peek my interest. This is covering minimal needs at wrong times.

For those of you saying we dont need another wide receiver... are you all aware that Gaffney, Bradford, and Armstrong are all UFA's?

Bradford is gone

expect Armstrong to be resigned and i guess gaffney will be back too.

Armstrong is a restricted free agent so we only have to sign him to a one-year tender which will probably be around $700k.

Gaffeny can walk. Armstrong will be retained. We have Mathis. We have the CFL record guy. We have AJ. Bradford can get bent.

We have 4-5 recievers who should see the field. We currently have 3 who see the field. AJ, Bradford, Gaff.

We are fine at reciever.

We could definitely use another WR, particularly another fast one, but we would be ok without getting one this year. Gaffney is not especially fast but he's a good route runner and has good hands so he should stay, and I think he can be a decent #2 WR if we use him properly, and hopefully our new staff will do a much better job working him into the offense.

I like Vick in the 7th. He would be like Willy Beeman on "Any Given Sunday". On the end of the bench, eating fritos. Carr gets hurt, Ragone goes down.....Kubiak's like "Vick! Start warming up." Marcus just sits there eating fritos in his own little world. He finally realizes he's going in and BOOM!!!!

The next week he's doing commercials and supermodels.....

hahhahahhah....thats funny. I do like the Vick pick though. I believe he has what it takes to be a starting qb in the NFL...but he just kinda screwed himself over in the last two weeks...so i guess u get what u have comming.
