The BEST thing about Dunta....

As a corrner too....Just think if Deon could tackle and rush the passer. I'm very excited about his potential

DR is as exciting a player to watch as any offensive player in the league. The excitement he brings to the game on D reminds me of when Deion was in his prime. Not comparing the talent yet, just the level of excitement in watching the D play. Especially in the Bears game.

The BEST thing about Dunta...?? He's a Texan.. that's the best thing!
I agree txhoosier. He is the real deal, and getting better all the time. I love all the enthusiasm that I see in him. Cool player that I hope has a long healthy future as a Texan.

He locks on target and STRIKES.

Bingo. This kid doesn't just tackle if the play comes his way. He seeks the contact. Impact player to the bone. I'm more ipressed that he plays so agrressively not just because he's CD, but he's a runt. And yet he still takes down the big game. DRob is a bad man.

I kinda hope he doesnt win it :).. hehe.. he definatly deserves it.. but judging from what ive heard.. he thinks he deserves it too. So if he doesnt get it.. that will make him play that much harder to show everyone that he DID deserve it.

the best thing about Dunta Robinson is - he gets it to illustrate that point after the Oakland game where he picked off two passes, after the game he made a swing all the way around the 1st row of the Bull Pen giving high fives, alot of kids I might add & one of them being my son. it was as awesome experience for him, the only thing comparable in my youth was a high five after setting an American Long Distance Record by the late Steve Prefontaine. The great ones get it, they do it not only for the love of the game but the love of the fans, late.

Now that is why character is so important. That must be a big requirement when the Texans look at a player. They want a team of hard working players with good skills on and off the field.

The cool thing is that he is one of our draft choices. The fact this guy is playing at a pro bowl level in his rookie season just gives you that hope that our nucleus of young talent will be emerging next year.

i thought this quote was funny from nfl.com's prospect profiles ...

dunta robinson ... "Reliable tackler, but needs to deliver more power behind his hits (more wrap-up than smash-mouth type)"

think maybe they wanna change that?

Well we could ask some people what they think. We could ask Quentin Grifith, or that Denver fullback that he destroyed, peyton manning, Chad hutchinson,.....(the list goes on)

Love his ability to make plays on the ball the kid is a ball-hawk. But thats not what suprised me, what suprised me was his ability to come up big in the pass rush and in run defense. I also love his cocky attitude, sometimes you need that type of mentality on defense. :taz:

I agree with all comments, he's the real deal. I love his enthusiasm. he's gonna be a great paleyer for the texans. I wonder how many fans at the beggining of the year were not happy to see us pick him up and to have him starting or thought he'd be a flop? I was a little worried to see D.Rob and Babin starting as rookies but i think they have matured great. Can't wait to see them step it up next season.

sportsline.com has DRob as the number 1 rated DB in the league right now! I thought that was pretty sweet.

i don't understand why he wouldn't make our team, we don't want good players?

cause we could load up with good players on the field, but we want good People/Players not just talent and nothing else ! kinda like the movie with bernie mack what was it mr.2000

Cbs Sportline indeed has him ranked as the #1 DB. They have Aaron Glenn at 37th, and Champ Bailey 38th. Makes me wonder if they are using pure stats, or what their criteria is. Dunta has been everything I hoped for and more. He is going to be a great one.

For the record, here is the cbs sportline comment on him - "He's had a terrific run in the last three weeks to help him overtake Ed Reed in the top spot in the latest rankings. He has three sacks, two interceptions and two forced fumbles."

http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/playerrankings/regularseason/DB

For what it's worth, they have Carr as the #6 QB, just ahead of Brett Favre. :hmmm:

the only thing i have to say is he should be in the pro bowl
who cares if he is a rookie just compare his stats to those of chris mcallisters and tell me he shouldnt be taking the trip to hawaii

the one major thing that he has done was get a DUI. i think are current safty is guilty of that. if you are talking about the agent thing then all i can say about that is he is young and is learning how the nfl works, arrington has taken him under his wing. he has gotten everything under control and is right behind Dunta for rookie of the year.
