Doppelganger
None
1. David DeCastro, OG, Stanford
I stick with the top OG with the first pick. He would fit in at RG or LG from day 1 and instantly improve the line. Foster or whoever the RB would have an automatic cutback lane to run through and Schaub or our QB would have time to throw the ball. A stud OG can make or break your team.
2. Juron Criner, WR, Arizona
A big (6'4) target with reasonable speed. Good hands, a big frame, and good route running means he is the #2 receiver we have wanted opposite AJ for years.
3. Peter Konz, C, Wisconsin
You can call me a Myers hater, but I just don't think he is too small to deal with the massive NTs in the NFL these days. Bring in Konz a big powerful 6'5 315 lb Center who can move the defender backward, create holes, and pass block. He has great technique and his footwork is solid for a guy his size. Put Konz at Center, DeCastro next to him and run the ball through the holes they create all day.
4.Tydreke Powell, DT, North Carolina
He is not a true NT, but he is what the Texans need. He excels against the run and can on occasion push forward too. I would get him to add a little bit of wait and have him stay home and be our run stopper/plugger.
5.Korey Williams, ILB, Southern Miss
A very sound lb with a nose for the football. Very insticintive. A great backup for Cush/Meco and a possible starter in a couple of years.
6.Chad Diehl, FB, Clemson
Vickers was brought in to be a FB, but he did not shine in blocking and was abysmal in his one attempt at catching the football. If he can’t do either, what’s the use of keeping him? I say its time to get a bulldozer blocker and Diehl is that. At 6’2 265, he will run through defenders and blast monster holes. Use him for what he is: a monster run blocker and you won’t be sorry. Plus he can line up as an additional blocker in the pass game!
7. Traded for Mr. Mason.
