I think Texas could be in the running for Jalen Hurts should they desire to pursue him.....especially now that the program has finally made the turn towards relevance.

Texas Tech hung with WV until their freshman QB collapsed his lung, and their back up threw a pick 6 while trying to lead the game tying drive. While I think my red raiders are very improved this year, I think UT is better than them

West Virginia more over rated than OU. Depends if Texas is ready to be Texas. These guys lost to Maryland two years in a row. Yet they show up for OU two years in a row.

Only thing stopping these kids is themselves

Disagree on it being on the kids. It's Herman's MO. It was the same way at Houston. Went 6-0 against ranked teams (including 3 top-10 wins) but lost games to teams like Connecticut, SMU, etc.

He always gets his teams up for the big games. He doesn't consistently get them up for the other games. Trap games are so dangerous for his program. I wouldn't be shocked if UT beats West Virginia and then turns around and loses to Tech or Iowa State.

This is true. I remember mack brown saying that motivation was so hard. You would think with only 11-12 games scheduled the kids would naturally be motivated for any game. They think they can just show up and the other team would tuck tail. Being the hunted vs the one hunting a total mind game. Herman needs to find that push when the kids dont have it

Texas can't seem to close out a game, but they aren't losing them either. Props to the defense when we need them.

They'll be 7th or 8th in the AP come Monday depending on how UGA and LSU shakes out. Not bad.:thumbup
 
Texas is back.....

West Virginia lost. Interesting that talking heads said big 12 was there for the taking if Texas can just play solid football. No reason they cant win big 12. Still not sure if they will have the resume for playoff but at least they will be in conversation

Michigan needs to lose which is likely. Win out and I think they get the 4 seed. The question is whether the Big 10 or Big 12 gets frozen out. If Notre Dame would lose (less likely) it would be much simpler.

I'm not sure Texas is ready for prime time yet, but I'd sure like to see it.

Boy they lost that chest match didn't they. Entertaining game. Texas is still on right path. Big 12 is exhausting for DCs

What did you think about Lil Jordan Humphries Wr? He keeps impressing me although their seems to be an "air" or something against him. Kris Boyd looked good second half.

Big 12 officials were awful all year. Amazing how bad they were all year.

That safety was huge. Sam never saw it coming. Texas has been outscored in the 4th in 9 of 13 games by opponents. By like 90 pts I think I heard on the radio. Lead wasn't big enough.

Sounds like Texas could be headed to sugar bowl as well

Been waiting for this game since I moved to GA over 25 years ago wondering who'd I root for. The way Richt was treated makes it easier.

I'll be pulling for Texas, but expect GA to win handily. While I hate the way Richt was fired, Smart is a serious upgrade.

Yeah Smart landed one hell of a job. I dont like Texas chances either but a game vs Georgia is so exciting

Between the jobs Smart and Herman are doing this could be preview of a playoff game next year. Both need to just learn how to close.

Man Georgia really did expect to throw their jerseys out and Texas bend the knee. That bevo incident was great. Foreshadowing lol. Georgia QB and punter had bad nights.

Is Texas back? Possibly nine starters gone from D. Will wideouts return? Texas will be back when they reload not rebuild.

Qb will be back and that's huge.

Dont they get LSU next year non conference?
